MBNel keeps the spotlight on his proud Filipino roots with latest single Popstar

The talent is undeniable, and so is the love for his motherland. Filipino-American rap artist MBNel is back at it with his newest single, Popstar, and just like his last several singles, this latest creation from the prodigy also prominently features Manila in its music video.

Popstar comes in hot on the heels of MBNel’s recently-released last single, Ashtray, which featured the Pinoy rap trio O Side Mafia and reached the top 11 on the Viral 50 Spotify Philippines Charts and already 1.1 million views on Youtube with no signs of slowing down. The fast-rising rap artist’s previous singles, Ghost 2 and Just Like Me, were also filmed in Manila.

MBNel is on a mission taking his talent worldwide, fresh off his Philippine tour where he performed at festivals across the country. With more than 230 Million streams including his collabs with BLXST, Mozzy, and Yung Bleu, it’s clear that the spotlight on Filipino rap talent that the Filipino-American rapper is showing off to the rest of the world is only going to keep shining brighter and hotter.

Popstar by MBNEL is out now on digital streaming platforms.

She ended up pregnant, they got married, and then discovered each other's personalities while fixing family and work issues. It was called Fools Rush In and I would have asked you to rent it in a local Video City, but I think all of their stores closed ages ago. 2. In this version though, the girl CJ (Jennylyn Mercado) would rather stalk the potential father and be the emotional punching bag of Uno (John Lloyd Cruz) who had a bad temper (F-words everywhere!), an a-hole attitude ("So what? Buhay ko 'to. Kahit mag-swimming ako sa alak wala ka pakialam!"), crazy reasoning (he wanted to take care of CJ and the baby, but made her sleep on an uncomfortable sofa bed in the living room with poor ventilation), and a drinking problem that were all supposedly reasonab...
