Ahead of their highly anticipated 20 th anniversary show this month, The Bloomfields have dropped “ Get Up ,” a new single that the band originally wrote in 2019. Built around a single-chord jam, “Get Up” draws inspiration from the whimsical era of ‘60s psychedelic rock. The energetic track brims with a heavy dose of loud, droning guitars and hypnotic soundscapes, providing a stark contrast to their more pop-leaning work. According to the band, they wrote the song without the intention of making a hit. “It felt wonderful to release it as our fourth single and share it with our audience.” The Bloomfield explains, “It’s a high-energy track that felt perfect to release ahead of our 20th-anniversary show, getting people hyped and ready.” Band members Rocky Collado and Lakan Hila penned "Get Up,” with the latter taking care of the mixing duties.
