A tribute to imperfect families, a light comedy that represents a slice of life of a not so regular family going through some challenges but truly relatable to all. The story line of Father’s Day revolves around Henry Willows. a lonely father for a long time that get used of being alone. Because of it or being bitter to his past he has this wall to protecting him. On a one winter evening, his son Mathews comes back for a unexpected visit who happens to bring also his pregnant 16 year old goth girlfriend where, his mother Sue doesn’t approved of. Mathew runs to his dad longing for approval. Out of the blue Sue, appears in the scene looking for his son Mathew. There the two divorced couple reunited bringing back their past filled with no holds barred dialogue and savage words. There with their delinquent son, they rediscover their love to each other. Theater Review : Tanghalang Pilipino' Mabining Mandirigma, A Steampunk Musical (Why Mabini is a Girl?)

This is the question that is keeps recurring into my mind while I watch the theatrical play "Mabining Mandirigma". Mabini as derive from the last name of Apolinario Mabini, it can also be a word play from the Tagalog word "Mabini" which means modest that depicts as the dominant traits of an early Filipina. On the other hand, Mandirigma which means warrior, a defender that fights for the what is rightfully his/her.

Mabining Mandirigma 2015 With the overwhelming success of its initial run last July 2015 at the Cultural Center of the Philippines, Tanghalang Pilipino, the resident theater company of the Cultural Center of the Philippines, with the support of the National Commission for the Culture and Arts, brings back the hit musical play, Mabining Mandirigma to cap off its 29th theatre season. Written by Dr. Nicanor Tiongson, this musical play foregrounds the legal and diplomatic heroism of Apolinario Mabini.

Season 77 of Repertory Philippines finally opens with a thriller play, Wait Until Dark, January 17, 2014 at Greenbelt 1 Onstage. Be thrilled and meet talented Filipino theater actors and actresses! Starred by Liesl Batucan as Suzy Henderson, a recently blinded Notting Hill Gate housewife, becomes the target of three con-men, Roat, Mike Trenton and Croker, played by Arnel Carrion, Joel Trinidad and Robbie Guevarra respectively,  when she was left alone by her husband Sam, played by Lorenz Martinez, one afternoon. The con-men were in search of a doll which Sam Henderson had accidentally brought from a trip abroad. Gloria, played by Daniella Gana, a young girl who does the grocery for Suzy, stole the doll upon knowing that it was not a present for her. The story evolves on how Suzy used her sharper senses of hearing and touch to overcome, outwit and survive the manipulative tactics of the three con-men to get the doll.
