One of the biggest names in the OPM scene, Neocolours, will finally release new songs this year. To jumpstart this awaited music launch, the band signed up today with its record label, Universal Records. Universal Records’ top executives led by VP Ramon Chuaying , General Manager, Kathleen Dy-Go and Operations Manager, Peter Chan welcomed the members of the band during the contract signing.

Paolo Sandejas, son of TV personality Christine Jacob-Sandejas, has signed a record deal with Universal Records. At just 17 years old, Paolo is one of the youngest artists currently signed to the label. The contract signing was held at the Universal Records office in Quezon City.

Better Days formally signed a recording contract with Universal Records on Monday. The band is composed of Daniel Paringit on vocals and guitars, Jaro delos Reyes on guitar, Gelo Cabigon on bass and Rosner Mabuti on keyboards.

(see below screenshot) Eighteen year old singer/songwriter Tala Gil, who goes by the pseudonym TALA, and who happens to be Nikki Gil’s cousin, started posting covers on a YouTube account early this year. This October, TALA takes it a step further by releasing an original composition, nothing personal, debuting as her single.

If you’ve been into OPM from the early 2000’s, you’ve probably heard of the band Silent Sanctuary. Formed way back 2001, the band is composed of Sarkie Sarangay on vocals and guitars, Anjo Inacay on cello, Jason Rondero on bass, and Allen Calixto on drums.
