PREMISE ‘BINONDO: a Tsinoy Musical’ tells the story of how LILY, a Filipina night club singer in pre-Martial Law Manila, and AH TIONG, a mainland Chinese scholar returning to Cultural Revolution-era Beijing, embark on a journey of great love and heartbreak that begins one fated, moon-lit night during the Mid-Autumn Festival of 1971 in the heart of Manila’s Chinatown.

About Hustiya Biring is a probinsyana from Bicol who becomes involved in the illegal world of human trafficking. She becomes the right-hand woman of her distant relative Vivian (played by Rosanna Roces). When she lands in jail for a crime that she did not commit, Biring experiences the slow grind of justice in the Philippines. Through the help of a corrupt lawyer named Gerald (Rocco Nacino), Biring turns the tables on her tormentors. She learns the corrupt practices of the powerful syndicate behind Vivian.
