After viewers witnessed Idai’s (Dimples Romana) vantage point of how she lost her child, it is now Samina’s (Angel Locsin) turn to tell her side of the story about why she took Idai’s little boy with her to Lanao in the second half of the special two-part episode of “MMK.”

The star of 2005’s internationally-acclaimed independent film “Ang Pagdadalaga ni Maximo Oliveros” Nathan Lopez will act opposite his identical twin Gammy in ABS-CBN’s “Maalaala Mo Kaya” this Saturday (November 23). In the episode directed by Nuel Naval, Nathan and Gammy will portray the roles of identical twins Elmer and Eric, who were very close since childhood. However, after the death of their soldier father, Elmer chose to come out as gay—a decision disliked by Eric, who is a ‘closet queen.’ Also part of the fun and heartwarming “MMK” episode are Jackilou Blanco, Nikki Valdez and Ricardo Cepeda. The episode was written by Benson Logronio and Arah Jell Badayos and researched by Akeem del Rosario. “MMK” is led by business unit head Malou Santos, production manager Roda Dela Cerna, and executive producers Cathy San Pablo and Lindsay Dizon. Rising Kapamilya teen star Julia Barretto’s dream to appear in “Maalaala Mo Kaya” comes true this Saturday (June 15). “I cannot believe that it is really happening. I am very happy and excited for my first ‘MMK,” said Julia. According to the teen actress, she did not think twice about accepting the role when it was offered to her. “I immediately said yes because I have always wanted to do episode for the show. But at the same time, I am really nervous because it is a huge responsibility and honor for me to be entrusted with an ‘MMK’ story,” she shared. Despite the pressure, Julia said that she is ready to prove herself to everyone. “I am very nervous because I might not meet the expectations of other people and I am afraid that I might disappoint them. Sometimes I try not to think about it because I just want to focus on how to improve my acting skills and show everybody that I can do this,” she said. She will portray the role of Gina, a dedicated family woman, who after 36 years met her high school sweetheart Freddie (Gary Estrada). For seven days, Gina and Freddie built happy memories and through a short span of time found out that they were still deeply in love with each other. In the end, will Gina sacrifice everything including her family just to continue her love affair with Freddie?
