Asia’s Got Talent Season 2 took the regional spotlight as the top-rated original production in 2017, securing AXN as the number one channel in its timeslot among all regional pay-TV channels collectively in Malaysia, the Philippines and Singapore.

The Asia’s Got Talent Season 2 Grand Final was held Thursday at Marina Bay Sands in Singapore, which turned out to be the most thrilling night of the year. Fans have voted and judges have made their picks; so here are the nine grand finalists of this high-octane season:

The first eight semi-finalists gave it their all and wowed the judges in the first semi-final episode of Asia’s Got Talent. At the end of the episode, it was revealed that Indonesian singer Angela July won the unanimous Judges’ Pick and will now headstraight to the Grand Finals. The remaining seven acts are up for voting and only the two acts with the most votes will move on.

It was a performance of epic backflips and hair flicks when DM-X Comvaleñoz took the stage in last Thursday’s premiere episode of Asia’s Got Talent. Due to an overwhelming response from across Asia, AXN has extended the Asia’s Got Talent Online Auditions to midnight on June 8, 2017. After captivating rounds of open auditions in Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Taiwan and the Philippines,AXN is giving aspiring performers one last chance to take the spotlight in its record-breaking series.

AXN continued its thrilling streak in Q1 2015, claiming top spot in English general entertainment primetime ratings collectively in Malaysia, Singapore, the Philippines and Taiwan. As the dominant English GE channel across the region, AXN held 37 percent of the primetime viewing share among 20 competing channels, with ratings that were more than 60 percent higher than the next best rated English GE channel.

AXN’s highly anticipated “Asia’s Got Talent” premiere collectively topped ratings among English Pay TV channels in Southeast Asia. During the show’s two hour debut on Thursday, March 12 at 8:05pm, AXN delivered more than 10 times the ratings of the next English general entertainment channel across Singapore, Malaysia and the Philippines .  “Asia’s Got Talent” was the top AXN program year to date in the country. During its telecast, AXN ranked #1 with more than 80 per cent share amongst all English general entertainment channels, and ranked #2 amongst all Pay TV channels.
