For its 28th Theater Season (July 2014-March 2015), Tanghalang Pilipino (TP) adopts the theme DIS-EASE, and tackles the instability of the human personality which leads to psychological and social imperfections, illnesses, and tragedies. It must be made clear, though, that the productions for this coming season are not meant to further dishearten, discourage and cause any more feelings of hopelessness, than we already experienced and are still experiencing due to the recent series of man-made and natural calamities. TP's intentions remain to be the artistic interpretation and reflection of life's complex human and social realities, human pathos and sufferings where great virtues and wisdom are usually hidden and which surface only in opportune times precisely to suppress the vices, to heal wounds and restore the wounded body soul and spirit.

This is a continuation of our previous campaign for kids "Take a Step, Turn a Page" program where we launched a book and shoe drive for the children. Alpha Angelicum Academy and The Learning Tree participated on the said event. This time we want the children to experience watching a musical play. Our mission is to give them a chance to watch an educational play that they can use as a tool in achieving their dreams and aspirations. For every P600.00 (six hundred pesos), a sponsored child from GawadKalinga will get to watch Sandosenang Sapatos “The Musical” on December 15, 2013 3:00 pm at the Cultural Center of the Philippines. Watch out for Leeroy New's design for the costume of Tessa Prieto-Valdes who will play the role of the "Diwata" in Tanghalang Pilipino(TP)'s SANDOSENANG SAPATOS, a children's theater musicale by Layeta Bucoy based on the novel of Dr. Luis Gatmaitan, with music by Noel Cabangon and Jed Balsamo, direction by Tuxqs Rutaquio, featuring TP's Actors Company, headed by Tad Tadioan.
