MET to Host Accessibility for the Blind: Sensitivity Training Workshop

Celebrating its 40th year with its long-standing credo “Art for All” in mind, the Metropolitan Museum of Manila (MET), in partnership with the Resources for the Blind, Inc. (RBI), with the support of National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA), Touch The Artist’s Vision Inclusivity & Accessibility Advocate Group and the Rotary Club of San Juan del Monte, will host Accessibility for the Blind, a sensitivity training workshop on October 1 (Saturday) from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Visited the Lopez Museum and Library yesterday, and these are the words blurted out of my mouth: Wow. Really nice. Cool. Awesome. Amazing. Very Good. To Marga Villanueva and Ms. Grace Macalincag (and the rest of the Lopez art conservators out there), I realized how much painstaking work and sacrifice you are doing for the advancement of arts and history in our country. It's a hidden treasure waiting to be discovered. They're doing all that they can to improve their facilities and that people especially the masses will get more access to their collections. Those include a 20,000-strong collections of books about Philippine history and culture, and artworks by no less than our National Artists past and present. For instance, here's an artwork that will welcome you at the lob...
