Visited the Lopez Museum and Library yesterday, and these are the words blurted out of my mouth:
Wow. Really nice. Cool. Awesome. Amazing. Very Good.
To Marga Villanueva and Ms. Grace Macalincag (and the rest of the Lopez art conservators out there), I realized how much painstaking work and sacrifice you are doing for the advancement of arts and history in our country. Thank you so much. I can't express it all here, but hands down! T_T
To everyone, visit their library and museum, it's worth to see. Actually more than worth it. It's a hidden treasure waiting to be discovered. They're doing all that they can to improve their facilities and that people especially the masses will get more access to their collections. Those include a 20,000-strong collections of books about Philippine history and culture, and artworks by no less than our National Artists past and present.
For instance, here's an artwork that will welcome you at the lobby when you visit Lopez (pardon the bad quality of the image). A series of paintings done by Arch. Juan Arellano. Yup, made by the same hands that designed those colossal heritage buildings like the Metropolitan Theater and the Post Office.
Discover your arts and culture. Discover your heritage. Discover your identity as Filipino.
