The Art of Music: Dr. Raul Sunico’s ‘Music 101’ at the FEU Auditorium

 In celebration of the 75th anniversary of the FEU Auditorium, the FEU Center for the Arts proudly presents “Music 101: 600 Years of Music,” an “informance” featuring Dr. Raul Sunico, a “world-renowned, award-winning pianist” (Tatler Asia). He will give a lecture demonstration on music history from the medieval to contemporary periods on November 5, 2024. There will be two “informance” sessions: The first session is at 9:00 AM and will focus on the Medieval, Renaissance, Baroque, and Classical periods. The second session will start at 1:00 PM and will revolve around the Romantic, Post-Romantic, and 20th Century periods. Dr. Sunico earned his Bachelor of Music (cum laude), Bachelor of Science in Mathematics, and Master of Statistics from the University of the Philippines. The FEU Theater Guild (FTG) is bringing back the magic of Isla Esteban as they restage the play "Ang Pinakamakisig sa mga Nalunod sa Buong Daigdig" , closing their 90th theater season. Co-presented by the FEU Center for the Arts (FCA) and the Alumni Relations Office (ARO), this gripping adaptation of Gabriel Garcia-Marquez’s "The Handsomest Drowned Man" by Teresa Lorena Jopson promises a stunning theatrical experience. Set to premiere on October 2, 2024 , at the FEU Center for the Arts Studio, this production uniquely incorporates a water stage, adding a new level of challenge and intrigue to the performance. FEU Drum and Bugle Corps to Perform "From the Field to the Concert Hall" at FEU Auditorium on September 28, 2024

 After years of performing primarily in outdoor settings, the FEU Drum and Bugle Corps (DBC) marks a triumphant return to the historic Auditorium of FEU Manila in their upcoming concert entitled “From the Field to the Concert Hall”on September 28, 2024 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM. This upcoming concert of the FEU DBC will highlight their versatility and growth by showcasing their talents in playing brass and percussion instruments together with the artistic colorguard dance drills in a classical and modern repertoire specially arranged for them.   Each piece in the program was carefully selected by the FEU DBC’s Artistic Director Mr. Kevin Castelo, who graduated from the Jacobs School of Music of Indiana University and Mr. Koowie Relevo, an alumnus of the Corps who is now the Assistant Artistic Director.
