Top-notch composer Jesse Lucas gives a masterclass on the art of writing music for Film/TV.  Jesse is an award-winning and prolific composer who has written music for film, television, theater and ballet. In film, his works have won awards from different award-giving bodies. In 2010, he was elevated to the FAMAS Hall of Fame for Best Music Scorer. He won the Best Music at the 2005 Screamfest International Film Festival in Los Angeles for the film Sigaw, 2005. What Can You Do For Love ????? “Happiness is a Pearl,” an original play penned by Carlos Palanca Memorial Awards for Literature Hall of Famer Rody Vera is all set to open on June 9 at the 1701 The Little Room Upstairs located at Landsdale Tower, Mother Ignacia St. corner Timog Avenue, Quezon City. As the opening production for the second season of Artist Playground, “Happiness is a Pearl” revolves around three characters ---Kenji, a male courtesan; Maria, a poor Pinay Japayuki; and Mari, a wife who falls in love with Kenji.

Jesse Lucas  is a multi-awarded composer of music for film, television, theater and dance. He studied composition at the University of the Philippines’ College of Music. Fine examples of his work  have been adapted by  some of  the premiere theater and ballet groups of the country, namely: Tanghalang Pilipino of the Cultural Center of the Philippines, Dulaang UP, Dramatis Personae, Gantimpala Theater Foundation, Ballet Philippines and the Philippine Ballet Theater. His awards include GAWAD URIAN, YOUNG CRITICS CIRCLE, STAR, FAMAS (Filipino Academy of Movie Arts and Science), GAWAD TANGLAW and ALIW. He won Best Music at the 2005 Screamfest International Film Festival in Los Angeles, California. In 2010, he was elevated to the FAMAS Hall of Fame for Best Music.
