Teatro Pinas Review : ANG DRESSING ROOM: Kung Saan Lubusang Pangungulila Ang Dulot Ng Agos Ng Panahon

THE DRESSING ROOM: That Which Flows Away Ultimately Becomes Nostalgia, is truly a remarkable piece seeing both performances of both female set on the first staging and now the male set, shows the uniformity of the artistic direction at the same time the freedom of each artists to execute the given role that they are portraying. Uniform, in a manner that the message is clear and how the artistic direction was executed. It has an intelligent way of showing how the different sets of actors according to gender executed their characters. Also, how the chosen language affect the audience and the flow of the story. Of course people, or locals rather would be more comfortable to hear their own language, but depending on the crowd both of them has the same level of ingenuity, humor and emotions.

Theater Review : Dulaang UP' The Dressing Room

Once the spotlight fades to oblivion, the true stories of laughters and pain commence. Dulaang UP closes it’s 40th Theater Season by challenging both the intellect and affection, with the staging of “Ang Dressing Room: Kung Saan Lubusang Pangungulila ang Dulot ng Agos ng Panahon”. The play is a Filipino translation of a Shimizu Kunio original, “The Dressing Room: That which flows away ultimately becomes nostalgia.” The play shows 4 similarly different characters, each fueled by their own desire to take the spotlight as Theater thespians, but haunted by memories and limitations. Each character, simply named Actress A,B,C, and D, shares with the audience the lives they long for and how frustratingly hard it is to attain such stature.
