Teatro Pinas | LAST DANCE - HUBO'T HUBAD all set for September - October shows at Halxyon Club

The stage is set for LAST DANCE – HUBO’T HUBAD, a new queer ensemble play presented by JAPS Collectives and World Theater Productions Guam / Manila. The production runs from September to October 2026 at Halxyon Club in Poblacion, Makati, offering audiences an intimate theatrical experience centered on identity, love, survival, acceptance, and chosen family.

Written and directed by multi-talented theater actor, writer, and producer Jojo Urquico, LAST DANCE – HUBO’T HUBAD takes audiences inside the dressing room of a struggling male revue bar in Manila on what could be its final night.

As a violent storm rages outside and the threat of a police raid looms, five performers prepare for one last show. Behind the glitter, laughter, and seductive performances, they confront the dreams they abandoned, the identities they concealed, and the sacrifices they made simply to survive.

Through humor, heartbreak, music, and raw confession, LAST DANCE explores the lives of men searching for dignity, love, acceptance, and a place to belong. Their intertwined stories highlight the resilience of a chosen family determined to keep dancing despite an uncertain future.

Meet the Cast of LAST DANCE – HUBO’T HUBAD

Gerald Magallanes as Ace, The Fearless One

“How much of me is just an act?”

Gerald Magallanes is an accomplished theater actor, dancer, and choreographer with more than a decade of stage experience and multiple Aliw Award nominations.

Bold, playful, and outspoken, Ace commands attention through confidence and humor. However, beneath his fearless exterior is a man who has learned to turn pain into strength and laughter into armor.

Paolo Domingo as Jay, The Dreamer

“How far will I go for my dream?”

Paolo Domingo is a versatile film and stage actor, creative professional, and resident DJ at Halxyon Club.

Young and hopeful, Jay is still finding his place in the world. He dreams of becoming a professional dancer while searching for acceptance, belonging, and the courage to live life on his own terms.

John Segui as Dodong, The Heart of the Group

“Who am I when the lights go out?”

John Segui is a model and pageant performer who represented Cainta, Rizal, at King of the World Philippines 2025.

Funny, caring, and protective, Dodong uses humor to hide the weight he carries. Beneath his strong personality is a man longing to be loved, understood, and chosen for who he truly is.

Kriszan Manipon as Mark, The Veteran

“When do you know it's time for the last dance?”

Kriszan Manipon is a theater actor, improviser, and artist who brings intelligence, wit, and theatrical boldness to the ensemble.

Experienced, practical, and resilient, Mark has spent years navigating the realities of the industry. Behind his strength is a man who has sacrificed for the people he loves while quietly questioning how much longer he can keep dancing.

Robbie Padilla as Rafa, The Quiet Soul

“What happens when the music stops?”

Robbie Padilla is a photographer and visual storyteller making his transition from behind the camera to the stage.

Quiet, grounded, and observant, Rafa sees more than he says. Beneath his calm presence is a man carrying his own questions about life, purpose, and what remains when the music finally stops.

At select performances, Ysmael Suarez and Lance Cabradilla will also take on roles in the production.

Five men. One stage. Stripped bare. Stories uncovered.

Their bodies may draw you in, but their stories will stay with you.
