Benjamin Alves officially launches his series of visual poems and Marlo Mortel has new music video for his album “Serye”.

After getting over of one of life’s unforeseen event, father taken out of the family picture. Benjamin Alvis, writes visual poetry, as a love tribute to his late father. Dearly composed visual poetry is about his father talking to his mother of heartbreaks, regrets of possible things that must have been done before  his departure. Plans and dreams of waking up early every morning not going to work, simply watching TV with his wife and family and watching their sons and daughters build their own family is never to be possible anymore.

The visual poetry entitled “Mga Nais Kong Sabihin Ngunit 'Di Ko Nasabi by Benjamin Alves” unexpectedly struck me by heart on how it visually presented and how word pertinently uttered and said. Remembering my father of the moments we are together, admonish my past with him. I know analogous message from him, I will surely receive.
No matter what we have experience in life, this visual poetry will surely touch our lives in a special way.

A different experience of listening to genuinely uttered words from heart. The poem may take you back in time with jubilant memories of your special loved ones. A must hear and see visual poetry by Benjamin Alvis.! His visual presentation of poems aims to inspire and motivate its audience.

Benjamin Alves not most of us know, is a Filipino model and actor with the kapuso network. Graduated SUMA CUM LAUDE in English Literature at University of Guam, specializes in writing poems.

Marlo Mortel on the other hand, having been with the kapamilya for over 5 years, begin by singing his PPB trending song called:  sana ikaw na nga under the album “Serye”. A song always played inside bahay ni kuya in “moments” of PBB loveteam Lou and Andre.

Serye is a 7 track music album which all music and lyrics are his own original composition. The album derive from Marlo Mortel’s personal life experiences, particularity in love, heart broke and hurts “Hugot”. It composes of series of events about his life that is why the album is called “Serye”

Few only knows that Marlo Mortel started writing songs since he was grade 3 and as a proof, 2 of the composed songs when he was  still in high school are “Paano na ako” at “Lisanin”. A high school heart break song that anybody can feel and understand specially for millennials.

The 2nd song released is a heart brake song called “Habang ako ay mag isa. A song of moving on without knowing the reason of breaking up with him. Left hanging and floating.

What do we expect more with this artists?

For Benjamin Alves: expect more of his visual poetries coming anytime soon.!

Take aways: Benjamin back on his elementary always auditioned in acting but falls in art and creative writings due to shyness which is blessing in disguise to his current carrier as visual poetry writer.

For Marlo Mortel: Expect more of his “hugot” music, more TV hosting at umagang kay ganda (Kapamilya channel), “Ipaglaban mo” Episode which is coming soon.!

Film Review : Just The 3 Of Us

My notes on Just The 3 Of Us: 1. The movie reminded me so much of this late 90's rom-com with Matthew Perry as a happy-go-lucky bachelor who had a one night stand with a sultry Salma Hayek in Vegas. She ended up pregnant, they got married, and then discovered each other's personalities while fixing family and work issues. It was called Fools Rush In and I would have asked you to rent it in a local Video City, but I think all of their stores closed ages ago. 2. In this version though, the girl CJ (Jennylyn Mercado) would rather stalk the potential father and be the emotional punching bag of Uno (John Lloyd Cruz) who had a bad temper (F-words everywhere!), an a-hole attitude ("So what? Buhay ko 'to. Kahit mag-swimming ako sa alak wala ka pakialam!"), crazy reasoning (he wanted to take care of CJ and the baby, but made her sleep on an uncomfortable sofa bed in the living room with poor ventilation), and a drinking problem that were all supposedly reasonab
