It's All About Cherie Gil

Last September 29, 2018 at the Cinematheque, Manila Viddsee held its closing ceremony for VIDDSEE JUREE AWARDS PHILIPPINES 2018. The guests were welcomed few hours before it officially announced the winner. There was this segment "All About Cherie" of course with Ms. Cherie Gil herself moderated by Lilit Reyes.

Ms. Cherie Gil shared her life's journey as an actress with the the young audience and fresh film makers in the country. During the interview, she shared the differences on how they come up with her name " Cherie Gil" and how the Filipino film industry started during her time. Below is the link for the video on she started her career as a singer before being an actress. Also she shared first of her few encounters with the Mega Star Sharon Cuneta when they were at school and both members of the Glee Club. As a veteran actress she shared that she witnessed how the film technology from the time she started up to the present.

She shared to the audience how was her working experience with the iconic directors and film makers of her time and their difference to the younger filmmakers. She added that there was no available or accessible school for acting during her time. That they only study their characters by themselves and the Theater industry is bigger that the film industry.
