MOOPHS feat. MARKUS WIWU

Moophs is a project born in 2013 when Chris Lopez moved to Manila. Moophs was the nickname of his pet Savannah Monitor who died shortly after the move to Manila. In honor of an awesome pet, Chris took the moniker as the name for his solo project. Over the next few years, Moophs continued to release original music and remixes in the self-proclaimed genre “Tropical Bass” - poppy future bass with a tropical vibe injection - gaining accolades from Vindata who named him an artist to look out for during an interview with NestHQ.

Fil-Brit singer Markus Paterson has been in-country for a couple years and you probably know him as a finalist from the show Boyband PH. However, you’ve never heard him like this. With Tarsier, he launches his first original composition WIWU (short for When I’m With You) and showcases his original sound and incredibly unique vocal stylings. Hungry, talented, and humble, the sky is the limit for this young gun. He is not to be slept on.

‘Wiwu’ is the first song Markus ever wrote, and his unique and original vocal style is unmistakable. Drawing from his personal experience in moving to another country, WIWU praises that one girl who makes him feel at home again. Moophs brings the energy to this track with a dancehall styled drop that blends perfectly with Markus’ Bieber-esque crooning. This number has hit written all over it.

“Wiwu” will be available for streaming via Spotify and Apple Music, and also available for download via iTunes.

Film Review : Just The 3 Of Us

My notes on Just The 3 Of Us: 1. The movie reminded me so much of this late 90's rom-com with Matthew Perry as a happy-go-lucky bachelor who had a one night stand with a sultry Salma Hayek in Vegas. She ended up pregnant, they got married, and then discovered each other's personalities while fixing family and work issues. It was called Fools Rush In and I would have asked you to rent it in a local Video City, but I think all of their stores closed ages ago. 2. In this version though, the girl CJ (Jennylyn Mercado) would rather stalk the potential father and be the emotional punching bag of Uno (John Lloyd Cruz) who had a bad temper (F-words everywhere!), an a-hole attitude ("So what? Buhay ko 'to. Kahit mag-swimming ako sa alak wala ka pakialam!"), crazy reasoning (he wanted to take care of CJ and the baby, but made her sleep on an uncomfortable sofa bed in the living room with poor ventilation), and a drinking problem that were all supposedly reasonab...
