The Fray's Iconic “How to Save a Life” 20th Anniversary Tour Is Coming to Manila This December!

Get ready, Manila! The Fray is set to bring their How to Save a Life: 20th Anniversary Tour to the Philippines on December 12, 2025, at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.

Celebrating two decades since the release of their legendary debut album, this special tour will feature original member Joe King—the band’s guitarist, vocalist, and main songwriter—now taking on lead vocals. He’ll be joined by longtime guitarist Dave Welsh and drummer Ben Wysocki for a powerful and emotional performance that promises to bring back the memories that defined a generation.

Formed in Colorado in the early 2000s, The Fray captured hearts around the world with their emotionally charged alt-rock sound—sincere, melodic, and soul-stirring. Their massive hit, “How to Save a Life,” became a cultural anthem, spending 58 weeks on the Billboard Hot 100 and gaining iconic status after being featured in hit series like Grey’s Anatomy. Their debut album of the same name is certified 4x Platinum in the U.S., and still stands as one of the best-selling digital debuts of all time.

With four GRAMMY nominations, multiple Billboard Music Awards, and countless hits to their name, The Fray’s music continues to connect deeply with fans across the globe—including here in the Philippines.

Film Review : Just The 3 Of Us

My notes on Just The 3 Of Us: 1. The movie reminded me so much of this late 90's rom-com with Matthew Perry as a happy-go-lucky bachelor who had a one night stand with a sultry Salma Hayek in Vegas. She ended up pregnant, they got married, and then discovered each other's personalities while fixing family and work issues. It was called Fools Rush In and I would have asked you to rent it in a local Video City, but I think all of their stores closed ages ago. 2. In this version though, the girl CJ (Jennylyn Mercado) would rather stalk the potential father and be the emotional punching bag of Uno (John Lloyd Cruz) who had a bad temper (F-words everywhere!), an a-hole attitude ("So what? Buhay ko 'to. Kahit mag-swimming ako sa alak wala ka pakialam!"), crazy reasoning (he wanted to take care of CJ and the baby, but made her sleep on an uncomfortable sofa bed in the living room with poor ventilation), and a drinking problem that were all supposedly reasonab...
