Culture Wars visits Manila for the 2nd time armed with hit singles

Fast-rising alt-rock band Culture Wars is back in Manila, this time as part of Maroon 5’s Asia Tour (Tour Stops: Manila - January 29, Jakarta - February 1, Kuala Lumpur - February 12, Kaohsiung Taiwan - February 14). The Texas-based band first visited the Philippines last October as LANY’s opening act at the Philippine Arena, and if their second visit here within just a few months of their first is any indication, it’s that they are ascending in popularity and demand at bullet speed.

Just months after Culture War’s single Miley played on Philippine radio and TV and introduced the band to us, their latest single It Hurts promises to endear them even more to Filipino music fans. Made up of Alex Dugan, Caleb Contreras, Dillon Randolph, David Grayson, and Josh Stirm, the band is clearly doing a lot of right things to get invited to tour with some of the world’s biggest bands. In fact, it won’t be surprising at all to see them headline their own major concert tour soon with the way things are going. The song-writing talent, the musical prowess, the energetic live performances—Culture Wars has them all in abundance, and yet this group of guys is as down-to-earth as you’ll ever get to see in a rock band. Sounds too good to be true? Check out their easy-going and candid interviews, and more importantly, try listening to their music.

It Hurts comes alive with a jangly guitar and driving bassline that music fans would surely love to blast in their cars—it’s addictive and nostalgic. The track, off of the band’s upcoming debut album which was mostly recorded by the band in Los Angeles, California, is playing now across music streaming platforms.
