Bannering Pinoy creativity in Cannes Young creatives set to join Cannes International Festival of Creativity

Ali Sadsad (Left, in blue) and Nori Hernandez (Right, in plaid) were recognized for their Volunteer’s Ink campaign. They were chosen to represent the Philippines at the Cannes International Festival of Creativity. In the photo with Sadsad and Hernandez are Bryan Siy, Vice Chairman of the Creative Guild of the Philippines and Merlee Jayme, Chairman of the Creative Guild of the Philippines at the Kidlat Awards held last April 26.

Two young creatives are about to embark on an adventure of a lifetime as they are set to represent the Philippines in the Young Lions Competitions of the prestigious Cannes International Festival of Creativity to be held at the eponymous City of Cannes, on the scenic French Riviera.

Ali Sadsad and Nori Hernandez of Publicis JimenezBasic will go to France this month to duke it out with other young creatives from around the world. The two were chosen by the Association of Accredited Advertising Agencies (4As) Philippines Creative Guild to represent the Philippines after they competed against other teams from agencies in the country to create a campaign that enticed the youth to volunteer for the Parish Pastoral Council for Responsible Voting (PPCRV).

“It’s a dream come true! We’re happy to have earned the chance to represent the Philippines in Cannes. Cannes Lions has always been the biggest stage and the global benchmark for creativity in advertising, and to put our skills to the test against other young winners from around the world is exciting and also a bit nerve-racking,” Sadsad said.

The campaign that Sadsad and Hernandez developed is called Volunteer’s Ink, inspired by the trend of millennials posting images of their fingers with indelible ink to prove that they voted and also as a badge of honor. The two thought of a campaign where the Filipino Youth can show that aside from voting they can do much more through volunteering for the PPCRV and taking part in the organization’s goal to ensure the integrity of the elections. And as proof, they had their Volunteer’s Ink that they can show to friends.

“Having both the Voter’s Ink and the Volunteer’s Ink is something they can proudly flaunt on social media. Yes, having the Voter’s Ink is great because it means you’ve voted. But you know what’s better? Also having the Volunteer’s Ink -- it means you volunteered and did your part in protecting the Filipinos’ votes,” Hernandez said.

The 4As Creative Guild of the Philippines and the PPCRV were impressed with the concept that Sadsad and Hernandez created. In fact, the two were recognized during the Kidlat Awards—the country’s premier event where Filipino creativity, innovation, and ingenuity are celebrated and honored—held last April 26.

“The work of Ali and Nori prove that Filipino creativity is truly world-class,” Merlee Jayme, Chairman of the Creative Guild of the Philippines said. “We are very excited for them to show their skill for the whole world to see. It is especially inspiring that this caliber of creativity is being displayed by such young minds. It reassures us that the Philippine advertising industry will be in good hands.”

Aside from Sadsad and Hernandez, another creative duo will wave the Philippine flag high, this time, in Singapore for the Spikes Asia 2019 Festival of Creativity. Alexa Remalante and Renzo Valmonte of Dentsu Jayme Syfu will head to Suntec in Singapore this September.

Maria Ozawa wants Pinoys in next porn film

MANILA, Philippines - Japanese porn star Maria Ozawa wants Filipinos as her screen (and bed) partners in her next movie. Ozawa said in her Facebook page on Wednesday that an audition will be held for Filipino men in January. "Mabuhay! Philippines!" Ozawa said. "I bought Globe sim!....audition for the bukkake will be in January," she added. She did not say if she is already in Manila but rumors of her visit to the country made rounds on Internet forums and adult blogs just before Christmas. "Hello guys! Who wants bukkake? Audition will be on January 2012," she repeated in her Facebook page, which is linked to her official blog. The post has received more than 10,000 "likes," 535 "shares" and more than 2,400 replies. However, no one has yet to take up her offer as of posting time. Ozawa has made several dozen adult videos and non-porn movies. Her last adult video was released in April 2010. The same year, Ozawa had t

Film Review : Just The 3 Of Us

My notes on Just The 3 Of Us: 1. The movie reminded me so much of this late 90's rom-com with Matthew Perry as a happy-go-lucky bachelor who had a one night stand with a sultry Salma Hayek in Vegas. She ended up pregnant, they got married, and then discovered each other's personalities while fixing family and work issues. It was called Fools Rush In and I would have asked you to rent it in a local Video City, but I think all of their stores closed ages ago. 2. In this version though, the girl CJ (Jennylyn Mercado) would rather stalk the potential father and be the emotional punching bag of Uno (John Lloyd Cruz) who had a bad temper (F-words everywhere!), an a-hole attitude ("So what? Buhay ko 'to. Kahit mag-swimming ako sa alak wala ka pakialam!"), crazy reasoning (he wanted to take care of CJ and the baby, but made her sleep on an uncomfortable sofa bed in the living room with poor ventilation), and a drinking problem that were all supposedly reasonab
