Toy Convention 2016 : The Highlights

 Toy Convention 2016 is a 3-day event held at SMX Convention Center in Mall of Asia, Pasay City. It’s the biggest celebration of all things associated with pop-culture such as toys, games, movies, cosplay, anime, and collectibles. This event showcases a lot of exhibits, merchandise, cosplays, and mind blowing performers. Many toy and cosplay enthusiasts gathered here to feel the nostalgia, the glory-days of our youth, like everywhere you look you see toys, toys, nothing but toys.

Stan Lee (Pop Life)

The highlights of this event are Stan Lee Excelsior Exhibit, Voltes V 40th Anniversary Exhibit, Pop! Life Exhibit, Suicide Squad Movie Exhibit, Kotobukiya and Enesco Exhibit, CosfanX Tournament, Funko Pop! Asia Toy Exclusive Releases, FanX Celebrity Photo Ops, Meet and Greet, and Autograph Signing, and lastly The Biggest Dealer Floor Artist and Toy Club Gallery. But the crowd got wild when the casts of Encantadia, an upcoming Filipino fantasy television series to be broadcast by GMA Network came out of the stage.

It got even wilder when the Thai model and actor, Mario Maurer, appeared on the top level of the stage. Coming down while the crowd was screaming his name. Some audiences got to have a chance to ask him, Mario, a questions and some got their selfies with him. The best part was the give-away, t-shirts and Rusher’s Pass for his meet and greet.

The event was so jam-packed. It’s a whole new lot experience for me to attend that kind of event. There are many stuff that you can do inside the hall where you can’t even feel that you’re tired and exhausted. Looking forward for the next Toy Convention.
