The Philippine Educational Theater Association (PETA) is set to captivate theatergoers once again with the highly anticipated staging of Ang Babae Sa Septic Tank 4: Oh Sh*t! It’s Live Sa Cheter!, a daring and razor-sharp theatrical satire headlined by Eugene Domingo. Following the success of its critically acclaimed film trilogy, the iconic franchise officially transitions from screen to live stage performance, offering audiences a fresh yet familiar exploration of Philippine entertainment culture through comedy, spectacle, and fearless social commentary. The production will run for 50 performances from June 19 to August 16, 2026 at the PETA Theater Center, with matinee shows scheduled at 2:00 PM and evening performances at 7:30 PM.

Written by acclaimed playwright and filmmaker Chris Martinez and directed by celebrated theater director Maribel Legarda, the newest installment shifts its focus toward the evolving landscape of Philippine theater. Known for satirizing institutions and exposing the absurdities within the entertainment industry, the Septic Tank franchise now turns its lens on the chaos, contradictions, and creative tensions behind live theater-making. Structured as a clever “play within a play,” the production blurs the line between reality and performance, allowing actors to portray heightened versions of themselves in a self-aware and unapologetically meta theatrical experience.

Joining Eugene Domingo on stage is a powerhouse lineup that includes JC Santos, Meann Espinosa, Melvin Lee, Andoy Ranay, Stella Cañete-Mendoza, Joshua Lim So, and Marlon Rivera, alongside a dynamic PETA ensemble composed of Ron Alfonso, Kiki Baento, Roi Calilong, Jay Cortez, Nyla Festejo, James Lanante, Carlon Matobato, Eli Namoc, Reggie Ondevilla, Air Paz, and Ada Tayao. The production also boasts a talented artistic team featuring Assistant Director Johnnie Moran, Set and Costume Designer Gino Gonzales, Lighting Designer Barbie Tan-Tiongco, Sound and Music Director Angel Dayao, Choreographer Raflesia Bravo, and Video Design and Mapping Artist Bene Manaois.

As Philippine theater continues to experience what many describe as a “golden age,” Ang Babae Sa Septic Tank 4 arrives as both a celebration and critique of the industry’s growing popularity. Through humor and satire, the play reflects on the realities of live performance in today’s content-driven world while reminding audiences of the unique power of experiencing stories unfold in real time. Director Maribel Legarda emphasizes that live theater is more than entertainment—it is an experience that “breathes, trembles, and risks failure,” making every performance unique and deeply personal.

Ticket prices for Ang Babae Sa Septic Tank 4: Oh Sh*t! It’s Live Sa Cheter! are priced at ₱3,500 for VIP seats, ₱2,800 for Orchestra Center and Balcony Center, ₱2,500 for Orchestra Side, and ₱1,800 for Balcony Side. With its fearless humor, socially relevant themes, and star-studded cast, the production is expected to become one of the biggest theater events in the Philippines this 2026, inviting audiences to laugh, reflect, and rediscover the enduring magic of live theater.
