Barbie Almalbis Drops Eclectic New Single "Homeostasis" – A Fusion of Art-Rock and Emotional Depth

Following the success of her critically acclaimed comeback single, “Desperate Hours,” Barbie Almalbis makes a highly-anticipated return with a new track that further defines her evolving musical era. The award-winning singer-songwriter has released “homeostasis,” a single inspired by a biological concept that explores the body’s natural process of maintaining balance amid external changes.

“I’m no scientist, so I’m using this concept very loosely and explaining it in the simple way I understand it,” says Almalbis, the visionary behind hits like “Dahilan.” She describes homeostasis as the process by which our body returns to equilibrium, much like how emotions strive to find balance. “Our body doesn’t want us to stay too ecstatic or too sad; it tries to bring us back to a steady state.”

Almalbis crafted “homeostasis” during a challenging time in her life. Faced with circumstances beyond her control, she turned to music as an outlet for her frustrations. The song became a source of hope, symbolizing the body’s innate ability to adapt and gradually ease emotional pain.

Produced by her long-time collaborator Nick Lazaro of Eclectic Kiss, and featuring instrumental contributions from her brother and bandmate Karel Honasan, “homeostasis” is a testament to Almalbis’ artistry. The track combines her confessional lyrics with an art-rock edge and minimal synths, reminiscent of artists like St. Vincent and PJ Harvey, but with a sweeter, more melodic twist.

“I love how Lazaro incorporated dance and synth-pop elements into the song, alongside more aggressive guitar riffs,” Almalbis shares. “I’ve been drawn to that dance-pop/rock genre for a while. While I’ve had tracks like ‘Run For Cover’ and ‘Wicked Heart,’ Nick managed to infuse a rockier, edgier sound that mirrors how we perform live.”

Barbie Almalbis’ “homeostasis” is now available on all major digital music platforms worldwide, offering listeners a deep, eclectic, and emotionally resonant experience.

Maria Ozawa wants Pinoys in next porn film

MANILA, Philippines - Japanese porn star Maria Ozawa wants Filipinos as her screen (and bed) partners in her next movie. Ozawa said in her Facebook page on Wednesday that an audition will be held for Filipino men in January. "Mabuhay! Philippines!" Ozawa said. "I bought Globe sim!....audition for the bukkake will be in January," she added. She did not say if she is already in Manila but rumors of her visit to the country made rounds on Internet forums and adult blogs just before Christmas. "Hello guys! Who wants bukkake? Audition will be on January 2012," she repeated in her Facebook page, which is linked to her official blog. The post has received more than 10,000 "likes," 535 "shares" and more than 2,400 replies. However, no one has yet to take up her offer as of posting time. Ozawa has made several dozen adult videos and non-porn movies. Her last adult video was released in April 2010. The same year, Ozawa had t

Film Review : Just The 3 Of Us

My notes on Just The 3 Of Us: 1. The movie reminded me so much of this late 90's rom-com with Matthew Perry as a happy-go-lucky bachelor who had a one night stand with a sultry Salma Hayek in Vegas. She ended up pregnant, they got married, and then discovered each other's personalities while fixing family and work issues. It was called Fools Rush In and I would have asked you to rent it in a local Video City, but I think all of their stores closed ages ago. 2. In this version though, the girl CJ (Jennylyn Mercado) would rather stalk the potential father and be the emotional punching bag of Uno (John Lloyd Cruz) who had a bad temper (F-words everywhere!), an a-hole attitude ("So what? Buhay ko 'to. Kahit mag-swimming ako sa alak wala ka pakialam!"), crazy reasoning (he wanted to take care of CJ and the baby, but made her sleep on an uncomfortable sofa bed in the living room with poor ventilation), and a drinking problem that were all supposedly reasonab
