Pride Month Begins with LoveYourself Pride Night: Reflecting on the Past, Celebrating the Present, Shaping the Future

 As June approaches, LoveYourself.ph is thrilled to announce the highly anticipated LoveYourself Pride Night on June 1, 2024, from 6 PM to 10 PM at Bridgetowne Open Grounds the official venue partner, Eulogio Rodriguez Jr. Avenue (C-5 road) Manila, near The Victor. This vibrant event marks the commencement of Pride Month with a theme that pays homage to the 'Past, Present, and Future,' celebrating the historical journey, present achievements, and the advocacy for a better future within the LGBTQIA+ community.

LoveYourself is honored to welcome Ms. Pia Wurtzbach, a dedicated ally and advocate, as celebrity ambassador, bringing her unwavering support to the event. Hosts for the evening include the fabulous trio of Miss Deliciousness, Poca, and Lars Pacheco. The night will be lit with electrifying performances by Brigiding, Precious Paula Nicole, Alab Poi Dancers, Vinas DeLuxe, Bernie Barrantes, House of Ding, Mix Chanel, JQUinn, Maxie, Arizona Beauty, Hanna Bestie, OV Cunt, Matilduh, Lukas Garcia, and Raven Heyres.

Pride Night is more than just a celebration; it's a call to action and reflection. Guests can look forward to engaging installations:

  • ●  Guests are invited to select letters from envelopes, sparking personal connections.

  • ●  Write letters of love and hope to share with others, fostering a community of support.
    ● Voice their opinions on political questions by placing stickers, encouraging active

participation and awareness.

Additionally, a trip down Rainbow History Lane is an exhibit that highlights pivotal moments in LGBTQIA+ history, reminding us of the community's resilience and triumphs that have paved the way for today's progress.

Film Review : Just The 3 Of Us

My notes on Just The 3 Of Us: 1. The movie reminded me so much of this late 90's rom-com with Matthew Perry as a happy-go-lucky bachelor who had a one night stand with a sultry Salma Hayek in Vegas. She ended up pregnant, they got married, and then discovered each other's personalities while fixing family and work issues. It was called Fools Rush In and I would have asked you to rent it in a local Video City, but I think all of their stores closed ages ago. 2. In this version though, the girl CJ (Jennylyn Mercado) would rather stalk the potential father and be the emotional punching bag of Uno (John Lloyd Cruz) who had a bad temper (F-words everywhere!), an a-hole attitude ("So what? Buhay ko 'to. Kahit mag-swimming ako sa alak wala ka pakialam!"), crazy reasoning (he wanted to take care of CJ and the baby, but made her sleep on an uncomfortable sofa bed in the living room with poor ventilation), and a drinking problem that were all supposedly reasonab...
