Teatro Pinas : Five Reason Why You Should Watch the Ballet Manila Lisa Macuja's Cinderella

Ballet Manila's Cinderella

Ballet Manila always has this specific performance for specific audience. The careful selections of its program always makes the watching experience more enjoyable and exciting. Below are my personal point of view why you should catch the upcoming performance week of Ballet Manila's Cinderella.

Ballet Manila's Cinderella

1.Ballet Manila's Cinderella could be perfect gift not just for kids but for the whole family.  The dance company is know to showcase a world class performance through the years, but this season's Cinderella will take the family to a different kind of watching experience.

2.The performance is for all ages. Regardless of age, surely everyone can relate and enjoy the comedic and spectacular dance performance as they highlight the comic characters of the Step Mother (played by John Ralph Balingit) and the Step Sisters (played by Rissa May Camaclang and Nicole Barroso/ Emma Zoe Harris and Pia Dames on the other set). It is really amazing how they portrayed their characters knowing that dancing ballet is not easy plus they would need to ensure to deliver what their character requires them to do. Be enchanted by the beauty and charm of Cinderella and the Prince (played by Joan Sia and Rudy De Dios/ Abigail Oliveiro and Mark Sumaylo on the other set) Ballet Manila gives this experience that the dance company brought a fraction of Disney Land to Manila.

3.Relive and share your childhood memories with the young ones as the overall stage design and colorful costumes brings you to the fairy-tale world of Cinderella. The performance is very heartwarming and calibrated with a lot of exquisite elements of arts.

4.The Prima Ballerina, Ms. Lisa Macuja-Elizalde leaves a very remarkable note through this very special ballet. I don't wanna sound patronizing, but the choreography and the artistic direction clearly reflects the purity of a heart of a woman who wanted to share herself and her talent to the people. Her generously and being genuine shows throughout the show as everyone enjoys the ballet performance.

5.Ballet Manila's Cinderella, is a full packed performance. Full of spectacular surprises that you would not imagine that will happen. The way how they interact with the audience, the connection of the performers to the audience throughout the show. If you're curious about these surprises, catch the next performance week happening on December 1, 2018, Saturday at 6:00 in the evening and December 2, 2018, Sunday at 3:00 in the afternoon. This is a perfect magical treat for your friends, loved ones and family.

Film Review : Just The 3 Of Us

My notes on Just The 3 Of Us: 1. The movie reminded me so much of this late 90's rom-com with Matthew Perry as a happy-go-lucky bachelor who had a one night stand with a sultry Salma Hayek in Vegas. She ended up pregnant, they got married, and then discovered each other's personalities while fixing family and work issues. It was called Fools Rush In and I would have asked you to rent it in a local Video City, but I think all of their stores closed ages ago. 2. In this version though, the girl CJ (Jennylyn Mercado) would rather stalk the potential father and be the emotional punching bag of Uno (John Lloyd Cruz) who had a bad temper (F-words everywhere!), an a-hole attitude ("So what? Buhay ko 'to. Kahit mag-swimming ako sa alak wala ka pakialam!"), crazy reasoning (he wanted to take care of CJ and the baby, but made her sleep on an uncomfortable sofa bed in the living room with poor ventilation), and a drinking problem that were all supposedly reasonab
