A Movie to Watch: Hintayan ng Langit

A Movie to Watch:  Hintayan ng Langit starring Legendary Actors, film by young director

Sometimes the best move to be happy and better is to pause and take a break. Wonder about life and what ifs in the future. And what’s the fantastic way to do this?
Watch an awe-inspiring film that not only tickles your imagination, but also touches your soul. This is what Hintayan ng Langit may offer to moviegoers like you starting on November 21 in local cinemas nationwide. It’s a flavorful art with elements of Dan Villegas’ direction, Gina PareƱo and Eddie Garcia’ interpretations, and Juan Miguel Severo’s creative narrative.

Hintayan ng Langit, a creation you rarely see

The screenplay of Hintayan ng Langit is originally a piece that’s featured in The Virgin Lab Fest. It’s written by Juan Miguel Severo, the guy who popularizes spoken poetry starting from JaDine’s series On the Wings of Love.  Thus, this movie co-produced by Globe Studios and Project 8 corner San Joaquin Projects is a movie adaption from one-act stage play by a spoken word artist. It’s also the film that bagged Audience Choice award and gave Eddie Garcia best actor trophy in recent QC Cinema or Quezon City Film Festival.

“When I first read the Hintayan Ng Langit script for QCinema, I couldn’t put it down, and when I finished it, I couldn’t hold back my tears,” Quark Henares, Globe Studios Head and also a filmmaker, shared.

A young filmmaker collaborations with movie icons

In case you don’t know, Dan Villegas is a sought-after young filmmaker today because of his directing style. He can make you understand meaningful messages, while entertaining you in his taste of production designs, cinematography, and theatrical cues. Some of his box office hit films are English Only Please, Walang Forever, How to Be Yours, and Exes Baggage.

Hintayan ng Langit is his first drama fantasy and first time that his lead stars are veteran multi-awarded   actors. It’s exciting to see how he managed Eddie Garcia and Gina PareƱo to be effective Manolo and Lising. And how he made a make-believe scenario relatable and appealing.

In the media conference for the film, Tito Eddie and Gina commended Direk Dan’s fast and efficient directing style. For them, working with him is experiencing young and modern directorial approach.

On the other side, Direk Dan shared that he knows already how to handle with Ms. Gina. They worked   together in TV series Ikaw Lang Ang Iibigin starring Kim Chiu and Gerald Anderson. About working with versatile Eddie Garcia, Direk praised his motivational work ethic.

According to him, Manoy goes on time and has patience in the set.  In fact, the veteran actor mentioned that he has no problem in waiting too long. For him, it’s part of their jobs to wait in the set.  It’s no wonder why Eddie Garcia has a robust showbiz career through the years.

As for his acting in the movie, Tito Eddie imparted that doing Manolo is like any of his acting jobs. He just made sure that it’s also his best portrayal, which may serve a ticket for his next projects. On the other hand, Ms. Gina said that she did her best to fit in Lising’s persona. She added that she’s happy in acting different roles.

Meantime, the other cast members of Hintayan includes Karl Medina, Kat Galang, Joel Saracho, Che Ramos, Mel Kimura, and Dolly de Leon.

Here’s the synopsis of Hintayan ng Langit
“Lisang (PareƱo) has overstayed in her waiting room in purgatory, occasionally causing other souls trouble for her own entertainment. But today her waiting ends. Finally, she is set to cross over and her room is to be leased to a new tenant, Manolo (Garcia), who turns out to be her newly-deceased ex-boyfriend. But life—or death—takes a heartbreaking turn as Lisang and Manolo get a second chance to get to know each other again and, in the process, begin to realize what it really means to be “alive” again. As Lisa and Manolo look back in retrospect and they examine the decisions they made in their lives, they can’t help but ask what if....”

Maria Ozawa wants Pinoys in next porn film

MANILA, Philippines - Japanese porn star Maria Ozawa wants Filipinos as her screen (and bed) partners in her next movie. Ozawa said in her Facebook page on Wednesday that an audition will be held for Filipino men in January. "Mabuhay! Philippines!" Ozawa said. "I bought Globe sim!....audition for the bukkake will be in January," she added. She did not say if she is already in Manila but rumors of her visit to the country made rounds on Internet forums and adult blogs just before Christmas. "Hello guys! Who wants bukkake? Audition will be on January 2012," she repeated in her Facebook page, which is linked to her official blog. The post has received more than 10,000 "likes," 535 "shares" and more than 2,400 replies. However, no one has yet to take up her offer as of posting time. Ozawa has made several dozen adult videos and non-porn movies. Her last adult video was released in April 2010. The same year, Ozawa had t

Film Review : Just The 3 Of Us

My notes on Just The 3 Of Us: 1. The movie reminded me so much of this late 90's rom-com with Matthew Perry as a happy-go-lucky bachelor who had a one night stand with a sultry Salma Hayek in Vegas. She ended up pregnant, they got married, and then discovered each other's personalities while fixing family and work issues. It was called Fools Rush In and I would have asked you to rent it in a local Video City, but I think all of their stores closed ages ago. 2. In this version though, the girl CJ (Jennylyn Mercado) would rather stalk the potential father and be the emotional punching bag of Uno (John Lloyd Cruz) who had a bad temper (F-words everywhere!), an a-hole attitude ("So what? Buhay ko 'to. Kahit mag-swimming ako sa alak wala ka pakialam!"), crazy reasoning (he wanted to take care of CJ and the baby, but made her sleep on an uncomfortable sofa bed in the living room with poor ventilation), and a drinking problem that were all supposedly reasonab
