Gary Valenciano will temporarily not be seen on the hit celebrity impersonation contest "Your Face Sounds Familiar," wherein he sits as judge along with Sharon Cuneta and Jed Madela.
Valenciano confirmed the development with ABS-CBN News' Jeff Fernando on Friday, shortly before his departure for Papua New Guinea where he will hold a concert for the first time.
He will continue on an international tour with stops in Spain and Qatar, among others, and cited this as the reason he won't be returning the panel of judges in a number of episodes of "Your Face Sounds Familiar."
"'Yung pinaka magandang message na nakukuha ko for the show is that napapasaya namin sila kahit sa maiksing panahon lang, and it's good to hear that," he said.
Replacing Valenciano in the mean time will be TV host Boy Abunda, who just last Sunday bid farewell to viewers of "The Buzz," last Sunday.
