More than 300 artists are set to gather at TOPS in Cebu City for Tops ArtFest 2026, a four-day celebration of art, creativity, and new ideas happening from October 22 to 25, 2026.
Carrying the theme “Building and Breaking Norms,” Tops ArtFest 2026 encourages audiences to look at art, traditions, and familiar ideas from a different perspective. The festival explores the ways artists preserve foundations while challenging conventions and imagining new possibilities.
At the center of this year’s festival are two of the Philippines’ distinctive artistic voices, Junyee and Nune Alvarado, who will serve as the festival’s main artists. They will be joined by leading names in Philippine art, including Ronald Ventura, Romulo Galicano, Demi Padua, Charlie Co, Randalf Dilla, and Dino Gabito, among many others.
Their participation reflects the festival’s central message: art can honor the traditions and ideas that shaped it while continuing to question what comes next.
Tops ArtFest 2026 Highlights Cebu’s Growing Art Scene
For four days, TOPS will transform into a dynamic creative space featuring art exhibitions, installations, performances, and other artistic experiences. Artists from different disciplines and backgrounds will have the opportunity to present their work while connecting with audiences and fellow creatives.
According to Festival Director Lorenzo Miguel Dino, some works may feel familiar, while others may challenge conventional ideas about what art can be. The festival embraces these different reactions as part of the experience.
Tops ArtFest 2026 also aims to encourage conversations and reflection. Rather than simply presenting artworks for audiences to view, the festival creates opportunities for visitors to encounter different perspectives and reconsider ideas they may already know.

Art Beyond the Traditional Gallery
One of the defining aspects of Tops ArtFest 2026 is its setting. At TOPS, art moves beyond the traditional gallery and becomes part of a broader experience shaped by the landscape, people, conversations, and encounters surrounding the festival.
The event seeks to create a vibrant environment where artists and audiences can connect, discover new ideas, and exchange perspectives. This approach also reflects Cebu’s growing and evolving arts community, giving local and visiting audiences another opportunity to experience Philippine art in a distinctive setting.
More than an art exhibition, Tops ArtFest 2026 positions itself as a platform for artists to build, question, reimagine, and break through established norms.
With its lineup of established artists, diverse creative disciplines, and scenic Cebu setting, the festival offers audiences a chance to experience art in ways that go beyond simply viewing an exhibition.
