The Cultural Center of the Philippines (CCP) further expands its Kaisa sa Sining (KSS) network of regional arts centers with the confirmation of four (4) new member organizations for the first half of 2025: Province of South Cotabato, Capiz State University, Colegio San Agustin Bacolod, and Don Bosco Tarlac.
Launched in 2014, the KSS is a network of regional partners composed of educational institutions, local government units, and non-government organizations. Now on its 11th year, the KSS has broadened public participation in the arts, promoted and showcased artistic excellence and facilitated vibrant collaborations between and among communities.
South Cotabato is known for its diverse cultural heritage, which includes numerous indigenous groups such as the T’boli and B’laan who are famous for their traditional crafts, particularly T’nalak weaving made from abaca fibers and features intricate designs inspired by dreams and spirituality. The province has been a key player in the merging of South Cotabato, Sarangani and General Santos City into one of the country’s fastest growing development clusters known as SOCSARGEN. It serves as a gateway for the Brunei- Indonesia- Malaysia- Philippines East ASEAN Growth Area (BIMP-EAGA).
The Capiz State University (CAPSU) focuses on four major functions - Instruction, Research, Extension, and Production. It extends its programs to the community, accelerating intellectual, cultural and moral growth of the students and young people in the institution. Mandated to continuously strengthen its connections and collaborations with other government agencies and NGOs, CAPSU spearheads initiatives that promote educational advancement.
Established on July 8, 1962, Colegio San Agustin Bacolod (CSAB) is a Filipino Augustinian school that aims to foster a community life that is of one mind and one heart on the way to God. It pursues premier Catholic education through innovative instruction, relevant research and sustainable community service.
The first Salesian educational institution founded in 1947 in Tarlac, Don Bosco Tarlac is a private Catholic school that envisions a community of competent, resilient and committed servant leaders answering the call for holiness and social change.
The CCP, through its Cultural Exchange Department, strives to establish more regional partnerships under the Kaisa Sa Sining program, and soon to be confirmed are the alliances with the Mindanao State University Sulu, Notre Dame of Jolo College, and Ateneo de Zamboanga. The institutional collaborations signify a significant expansion of Kaisa sa Sining's reach and impact, fostering greater artistic collaboration and cultural exchange across the Philippines.
To date, the CCP KSS network continues to grow with 77 organizations across the country: 28 in Luzon, 21 in Visayas, and 28 in Mindanao.
