Christian Bautista Wins Best Male Concert Performer of the Year at the 16th Star Awards for Music

 Asia’s Romantic Balladeer, Christian Bautista, won the 16th Star Awards for Male Concert Performer of the Year for his The Way You Look At Me: 20th Anniversary Concert, produced by Stages Production Specialists, Inc. 

The awards ceremony, held on October 27 at the Carlos P. Romulo Auditorium in RCBC Plaza, Makati City, featured a star-studded lineup celebrating the best of OPM.

Christian was nominated alongside music veterans, including Pilita Corrales Lifetime Achievement Awardee Gary Valenciano, Ian Veneracion, Jed Madela, Joey Generoso, Ogie Alcasid, and Piolo Pascual.

The artist took to Instagram to express his gratitude upon receiving the award. Christian captioned, “We won!! Congratulations to all the great artists. Congratulations, OPM, dahil patuloy tayong namamayagpag! Thank you, PMPC Star Awards for Music, for celebrating Pinoy music.”

With over 20 years in the industry, Christian continues to be a beloved figure in Philippine music, engaging audiences not only through his recordings but also as the host of GMA's “The Clash” and as a regular performer on “All-Out Sundays.”

The 16th Star Awards for Music, organized by the Philippine Movie Press Club (PMPC), brought together a community of artists and fans, highlighting the vibrant spirit of Filipino music.

Film Review : Just The 3 Of Us

My notes on Just The 3 Of Us: 1. The movie reminded me so much of this late 90's rom-com with Matthew Perry as a happy-go-lucky bachelor who had a one night stand with a sultry Salma Hayek in Vegas. She ended up pregnant, they got married, and then discovered each other's personalities while fixing family and work issues. It was called Fools Rush In and I would have asked you to rent it in a local Video City, but I think all of their stores closed ages ago. 2. In this version though, the girl CJ (Jennylyn Mercado) would rather stalk the potential father and be the emotional punching bag of Uno (John Lloyd Cruz) who had a bad temper (F-words everywhere!), an a-hole attitude ("So what? Buhay ko 'to. Kahit mag-swimming ako sa alak wala ka pakialam!"), crazy reasoning (he wanted to take care of CJ and the baby, but made her sleep on an uncomfortable sofa bed in the living room with poor ventilation), and a drinking problem that were all supposedly reasonab...
