CCP and CITEM Launch 'Navigate the Touring Circuit' for Performing Arts Excellence

True to its mandate of providing a safe space for art practitioners to hone their skills and nurture their brands of self-expression, the Cultural Center of the Philippines (CCP) and the Center for International Trade Expositions and Missions (CITEM) introduce ‘Navigate the Touring Circuit’, an intensive capacity-building program seeking to enhance the tour planning skills and business acumen of Filipino performing groups and companies.

The program aims to provide selected performing arts organizations and companies with training and mentorship on the technicalities of touring such as strategic planning, events management, pitching, marketing, and more.

Integrating plenary presentations, talks, breakout sessions, and face-to-face mentoring across training schedules, Navigate the Touring Circuit will be spanning key regions of Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao. The program will utilize both online and onsite platforms to ensure accessibility and broader beneficiary & stakeholder engagement.

This special project aims to prepare Filipino arts managers to engage with the international market by providing intensive capacity training in event and production management, touring, and art market strategies. Ultimately, this initiative seeks to foster the growth and sustainability of the Filipino performing arts sector on the international stage.

Navigate the Touring Circuit kicks off at the UP Manila Little Theater on July 11, 2024. The opening program will be moderated by Jill Samodio. There will be keynote presentations from CCP Vice President and Artistic Director Dennis Marasigan, about Charting Alternative Paths: The Future of Performance.

For the next leg, the Navigate the Touring Circuit program goes to Clark on July 28-30, Dapitan on August 1-3, and Bohol on August 28-30.

Interested participants can pre-register via https://bit.ly/3VFwMJR to reserve their slot.

Maria Ozawa wants Pinoys in next porn film

MANILA, Philippines - Japanese porn star Maria Ozawa wants Filipinos as her screen (and bed) partners in her next movie. Ozawa said in her Facebook page on Wednesday that an audition will be held for Filipino men in January. "Mabuhay! Philippines!" Ozawa said. "I bought Globe sim!....audition for the bukkake will be in January," she added. She did not say if she is already in Manila but rumors of her visit to the country made rounds on Internet forums and adult blogs just before Christmas. "Hello guys! Who wants bukkake? Audition will be on January 2012," she repeated in her Facebook page, which is linked to her official blog. The post has received more than 10,000 "likes," 535 "shares" and more than 2,400 replies. However, no one has yet to take up her offer as of posting time. Ozawa has made several dozen adult videos and non-porn movies. Her last adult video was released in April 2010. The same year, Ozawa had t

Film Review : Just The 3 Of Us

My notes on Just The 3 Of Us: 1. The movie reminded me so much of this late 90's rom-com with Matthew Perry as a happy-go-lucky bachelor who had a one night stand with a sultry Salma Hayek in Vegas. She ended up pregnant, they got married, and then discovered each other's personalities while fixing family and work issues. It was called Fools Rush In and I would have asked you to rent it in a local Video City, but I think all of their stores closed ages ago. 2. In this version though, the girl CJ (Jennylyn Mercado) would rather stalk the potential father and be the emotional punching bag of Uno (John Lloyd Cruz) who had a bad temper (F-words everywhere!), an a-hole attitude ("So what? Buhay ko 'to. Kahit mag-swimming ako sa alak wala ka pakialam!"), crazy reasoning (he wanted to take care of CJ and the baby, but made her sleep on an uncomfortable sofa bed in the living room with poor ventilation), and a drinking problem that were all supposedly reasonab
