Eto na! Musikal nAPO! allows its audience to experience a fraction of how life was during the 70s during the period of Martial Law. It has a simple and yet remarkable storyline as it reminisced how life of students are during that time. The narrative is honest and brave in a sense that it relates the situation during that time to the present time.

Eto na! Musikal nAPO! Highlights the life of young students preparing to be the future professionals of the country. What are their struggles and challenges in life, how they want to fulfill their dreams and the typical disagreements between the youth and the parents during that time. Everyone can surely relate to the part that the conservative parents are against the desires and aspirations of their child.

The play highlights the extra curricular activities of the students that time. The simple life that everyone enjoys even without technological advancement. A life that satisfies everyone as they have real connection, real engagement and real relationships with their loved ones and friends. It's actually a wake up call that the youth of these days must experience, that we should not seclude ourselves from the society.

When it comes to its technicalities, all of the transitions and musical arrangements are flawless. Despite of performing classic songs of an old era, the performances are all refreshing and striking. It gives the experience that I've been there and experienced that. All of the performers and the live orchestra did their job exquisitely, everything has been done with perfection.

The songs has been programmed in way that it will not bore its audiences. The variation and the arrangement of the songs and how it has been connected to the scenes are exciting. It gives the feeling that the audience are welcome to join them in every scene. It's very relatable and accommodating. The dance steps and over all aesthetics of the stage has been careful designed and executed. The way how the performers talked are 100% accurate based on its period. How everyone moves on stage are carefully done, which translates to how the production team, the director, the actors and everyone who's part of the production studied everything to perfectly deliver every scene.

About Eto na! Musikal nAPO! 

Eto na! Musikal nAPO! centers on seven friends who join a song-writing and singing contest for college students. Composing the perfect song and assigning who best to write and arrange it proves a challenge to the barkada, aside from the individual problems some members have with their girlfriends, love interests, parents and studies, and the current political turmoil of Martial Law.

Eto na! Musikal nAPO! is a musical comedy. It promises its audiences wholesome entertainment with twitches of rom-com and nostalgia, using the music of one of the country’s premiere singing groups, the APO HIKING SOCIETY.
