Binibining Pilipinas ready to face the future

The lovely candidates of Binibining Pilipinas 2018 graced the headquarters of AXA Philippines, the leading global insurer, and its non-life insurance subsidiary, Charter Ping An and turned on the charm as they were warmly welcomed by the top executives.


AXA Philippines chief of retail propositions Alok Roongta, chief of commercial business Ninoy Rollan, Charter Ping An director Robert Yu, head of partnership Emmanuel Que; and head of commercial underwriting Edwin Salvan greeted the candidates.

As part of AXA’s thrust to empower people to live better lives, the 40 Binibinis were given a brief financial literacy talk.

At the event, the beauties also received their insurance coverage and can now enjoy personal accident, medical reimbursement and travel insurance benefits.

For ten years now, Charter Ping An, a subsidiary of AXA, has been the official insurance provider of the prestigious beauty pageant, providing the lovely candidates with full personal accident insurance coverage for the duration of the competition.

Film Review : Just The 3 Of Us

My notes on Just The 3 Of Us: 1. The movie reminded me so much of this late 90's rom-com with Matthew Perry as a happy-go-lucky bachelor who had a one night stand with a sultry Salma Hayek in Vegas. She ended up pregnant, they got married, and then discovered each other's personalities while fixing family and work issues. It was called Fools Rush In and I would have asked you to rent it in a local Video City, but I think all of their stores closed ages ago. 2. In this version though, the girl CJ (Jennylyn Mercado) would rather stalk the potential father and be the emotional punching bag of Uno (John Lloyd Cruz) who had a bad temper (F-words everywhere!), an a-hole attitude ("So what? Buhay ko 'to. Kahit mag-swimming ako sa alak wala ka pakialam!"), crazy reasoning (he wanted to take care of CJ and the baby, but made her sleep on an uncomfortable sofa bed in the living room with poor ventilation), and a drinking problem that were all supposedly reasonab...
