Theater House of Black and FringeMNL present' "Si Edgar, Si Allan At Si Art

ABOUT

Antipara Collective teams up with the the makers of "#14 LEANDRO ROAD" (An adaptation of Edgar Allan Poe's "The Fall Of The House Of Usher), Theater House of Black and Fringe Manila in staging a play in three episodes done à la Philippine Cinema's "Shake, Rattle and Roll". The production showcases three Filipino adaptations of literary classics namely; Arthur Miller's "The Crucible", Edgar Allan Poe's "The Tell-Tale Heart", and a fused episode of William Golding's "The Lord Of The Flies" and Jean-Paul Sartre's "No Exit".

The proceeds of the production shall be donated to the Stage Dreams Foundation, an organization that teaches theater and other art forms to children in the rural areas of the country.

SYNOPSIS

A production house's best editors, Eric and Boy, are asked to stay up late and edit the last draft of its launching project entitled, "Kuba-O!" which is a story that talks about the origin of witches or mangkukulams in Philippines during the 1600s. Amidst editing, Boy finds himself meditating on the meanings of what true horror is in real-life through his recent experiences in life during his past employer, an old aristocrat, who he accidentally killed due because of highly intensified senses. Upon his confession, Eric chooses to take everything as a joke and leaves the office early only to find himself locked inside a big white room together with six other people that he doesn't know.
