Matching the success of the Vancouver leg of the Kapusong Pinoy Concert in Vancouver, Ai-ai delas Alas again did not disappoint at the Kapusong Pinoy Concert in Anaheim.
Leading a cast of GMA Kapuso starts in celebration of the 10th anniversary of GMA Pinoy TV, the Philippine Comedy Queen gave much fun and laughter to the networks loyal viewers.
The Kapusong Pinoy Concert in Anaheim was organized by GMA International to show its gratitude to all the networks fans and devoted followers.
Being the Philippines' "Comedy Concert Queen", she did not only perform her usual funny antics but also delivered comical spiels that kept the audience laughing all throughout her number on stage.
Ai-ai delas Alas truly deserves to be recognized as the country’s premier comedienne because of her almost natural ability to keep her viewers entertained whether on film, television or live stage.

Aside from the Comedy Concert Queen, also present at the Kapusong Pinoy Concert in Anaheim were Christian Bautista, Jonalyn Viray and Betong Sumaya. Christian Bautista and Jonalyn Viray both serenaded the audience, while Betong Sumaya gave everyone a good laugh with his portrayal of Antonietta.
Prior to the concert, the Kapuso stars also held a press conference with the Filipino-American press. During the event, the Concert Comedy Queen was reunited with her daughter who is now based in California.
In addition, Ms. Ai-Ai de las Alas also did a dance number with her daughter Sophia during the concert.
According to Ms. Ai-Ai, she was overjoyed to have performed with her daughter especially since it was just weeks after Mothers’ Day. She considered it as a special gift from her beloved daughter Sophia.
It must be remembered that a month ago, Sophia also surprised the Comedy Concert Queen with a phone call where she greeted her mother “Happy Birthday” during a production number in Sunday All Stars. {1}** -
In an interview after the Kapusong Pinoy Concert, the Comedy Concert Queen and Asia’s Balladeer Christian Bautista both expressed their gratitude to the loyal supporters of GMA International. Addressing all Kapuso fans, he said, “10 years is always a great accomplishment. I’m happy and proud that GMA Pinoy TV has been able to touch lives of our kababayans around the world this long. Congrats!"
Kapusong Pinoy in Anaheim was held last May 31 at the City National Grove of Anaheim Indoor Theater.
