Sought-after Korean actress and “Boys Over Flowers” leading lady Ku Hye-Sun returns to Philippine television this Monday (Sep 29) as ABS-CBN premieres one of the most watched Korean dramas of 2014, “Angel Eyes.”
Can the heart feel what the eyes fail to see? Sienna finds the answer in this romantic drama series as she once again crosses paths with her first love Darren, whom she’s never seen after she lost her sight in a car accident when she was still a child.
Darren is not only her teenage sweetheart; he also served as the light in Sienna’s heart amidst the darkness and emptiness she felt inside when her vision was taken away from her. But their happy relationship was put to test when the two were forced to separate due to circumstance.
Twelve years later, fate will bring them back together — Sienna already regained her sight via an eye donor and now works as emergency rescue officer, while Darren, who is now called Dylan, is a successful surgeon.
But rekindling their love wouldn’t be that easy especially when the truth about Sienna’s eye donor comes out. Little did the two know that Daryl’s mother, who donated her eyes to Sienna, died on the hands of Sienna’s father, who happened to be the attending doctor the night she passed away.
