She's Dating the Gangster is an upcoming 2014 Filipino teen romantic comedy-drama film based on the best-selling novel of the same name originally published on Wattpad by Bianca Bernardino. The film is directed by Cathy Garcia-Molina, starring Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla. It will be distributed by Star Cinema with co-production of Summit Media and to be released July 16, 2014 in theatres nationwide as part of its 20th anniversary presentation.

She's Dating the Gangster is a 2013 Tagalog romance novel by Bianca Bernardino.Bernardino originally published the story on the writing community website Wattpad, and it was released by Summit Media into local Filipino book stores National Book Store and Powerbooks, where it became a local bestseller.

Plot

The story revolves around Athena Dizon, a 17-year-old student, and Kenji de los Reyes, a rebellious teenager. They begin a pretend relationship in order to spite Kenji's ex-girlfriend. Athena thought everything will be fine and that her life is steady, but slowly their relationship inevitably transforms into something greater. How will Athena love Kenji when her days are numbered? Will Kenji finally realize he truly loves Athena?

My notes on Just The 3 Of Us: 1. The movie reminded me so much of this late 90's rom-com with Matthew Perry as a happy-go-lucky bachelor who had a one night stand with a sultry Salma Hayek in Vegas.
