16 esteros in Manila and Quezon City are being rehabilitated by ABS-CBN Foundation’s Kapit Bisig Para sa Ilog Pasig

A total of 16 esteros in Manila and Quezon City are being rehabilitated by ABS-CBN Foundation’s Kapit Bisig Para sa Ilog Pasig (KBPIP) and Pasig River Rehabilitation Commission (PRRC) this year through the help of the supporters of the annual “Run for the Pasig River,” private donors and government agencies. “We started in Estero de Paco, and now we’re currently cleaning 16 esteros,” ABS-CBN Foundation managing director and PRRC chairperson Gina Lopez announced in the press conference held at Torre Venezia Suites, the official hotel partner of the event. Following the notable transformation of the Estero de Paco in Manila that started in 2009, KBPIP and PRRC continues its goal to bring back the glory of the Pasig River beginning on its tributaries. RoboCop in 2014, so exciting!

One of the best film of the Columbia Picture for 2014, the RoboCop. The cast: Joel Kinnaman, Abbie Cornish, Gary Oldman, Michael Keaton, Samuel L. Jackson, Jackie Earle Haley, Michael K. Williams, Jay Baruchel, Jennifer Ehle, and Marianne Jean-Baptiste. Robocop gets rebooted in this big-screen MGM production from director José Padilha. The picture will once again surround a slain police officer (played by The Killing's Joel Kinnaman) who gets resurrected as a crime-fighting cyborg until memories of his previous life begin to make him doubt his corrupt corporate overlords. Gary Oldman co-stars as the doctor who suffers a crisis-of-conscience after bringing life back to the man in the form of a mechanical body and reprogrammed brain, while Samuel L. ABS-CBN revisits the assassination of former Senator Benigno “Ninoy” Aquino Jr. via a documentary “Agosto Beinte-Uno: Ang Pagpatay kay Ninoy Aquino” airing this Sunday (August 25). Narrated by the veteran actor Jaime Fabregas, the documentary presents a painstaking research including review of court documents and testimonies of witnesses, analysis on the evidences, and interviews.
