THE SOUND OF MUSIC:  THE SEARCH IS ON FOR VON TRAPP CHILDREN IN MANILA The legendary musical THE SOUND OF MUSIC is coming to Manila this September, and the search is now on for local Philippine children to be part of the show. Presented by Globe LIVE, the highly-acclaimed production comes from the home of West End musical theatre – the famous London Palladium - where the lavish and dazzling show celebrated a record-breaking 954 performances and was seen by over two million people. 

Twin Bill Theater Productions proudly presents the Asian premiere of “WIT” – the 1999 Pulitzer Prize for Drama by Margaret Edson beginning April 19 at the Trinity University of Asia, E. Rodriguez Sr., Ave. QC. “WIT” (also styled as W;t) is about a woman's slow and painful death from late stage ovarian cancer.

The adventure of a lifetime for four celebrated men from across different genres kicks off in Tokyo on Sunday, April 2 with the premiere of the addictive new series “Better Late Than Never.” This fish-out-water travelogue series follows cultural icons Henry Winkler, William Shatner, Terry Bradshaw and George Foreman as they traverse Asia exploring different countries and cultures.

The box-office hit “Kung PaanoAkoNaging Leading Lady: The Musical” is back on stage fully re-imagined and revamped through the fresh eyes of rip-roaring millennials. To celebrate the past twenty-five years, the Ateneo Blue Repertory presents Company Call: blueREP at 25. The silver anniversary concert will bring together current members and alumni for a special event this April 8, 2017. Featuring some of the organization's most recognizable musical numbers and performers, the concert is about coming home to where generations of blueREPPERs discovered their passion for the stage.

Manila Improv Festival 2017 opened last Wednesday (March 22) at the Philippine Educational Theater Association (PETA) with three performances from the Improv groups ASAP (Singapore), ImproMafia (Brisbane), and SPIT (Manila). In this hard-hitting drama, he will fight to protect his livelihood, maintain his honor as a family man, and, eventually, save his own life. Ultimately, Kristo poses the question: In the game of life, who wins and who loses?

Tu Pug Imatuy, which means "the right to kill" in Manobo, follows Lumad couple Obunay & Dawin who encounter soldiers who break their family and community apart. Inspired by true events, the film tackles Lumads' struggles against mining and militarization.

Get Out is a 2017 American comedy horror film written, produced and directed by Jordan Peele, in his directorial debut. The film stars Daniel Kaluuya, Allison Williams, Bradley Whitford, Caleb Landry Jones, Stephen Root, Lakeith Stanfield and Catherine Keener, and follows a young interracial couple who visit the mysterious estate of the woman's parents.

Beauty and the Beast is a 2017 American musical romantic dark fantasy film directed by Bill Condon from a screenplay written by Stephen Chbosky and Evan Spiliotopoulos. A co-production between Walt Disney Pictures and Mandeville Films,
