About Annie (2014 film) Annie is a 2014 American musical comedy-drama film directed by Will Gluck and produced by Village Roadshow Pictures and Will Smith's Overbrook Entertainment for Sony Pictures' Columbia Pictures. A contemporary adaptation of the 1977 Broadway musical of the same name, which was in turn based upon the 1924 comic strip Little Orphan Annie by Harold Gray, the film stars QuvenzhanĆ© Wallis in the title role and Jamie Foxx in the role of Will Stacks, an update of Daddy Warbucks. " SEASONS OF DESIRE " – a story of  love, treachery and vengeance in an opera concert set on FEBRUARY 7, 2015 – SATURDAY - 8 p.m. at the Abelardo Hall, College of Music in U.P. Diliman, Q.C. Featuring topnotch artists Elaine Lee (soprano), Ivan Nery (tenor), Lawrence Jatayna (baritone) and Dingdong Fiel (piano), "SEASONS OF DESIRE" written by Vladimeir Gonzales and Directed by Nazer D. Salcedo, is a tribute to the Filipino Asianovela craze, as well as an attempt to extend the love for opera to a broader audience. Using selected opera pieces from Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and Giuseppe Verdi, the one-night only opera concert shall feature tropes from local and international dramas - the sudden tragedy, a betrayal of trust, a plot of revenge, a redemption --- and incorporates these tropes to songs from famous operas such as Le Nozze de Figaro, Magic Flute, La Traviata and Rigoletto.

Tanghalang Pilipino Present: Juego de Peligro, A tale of seduction and greed in the form of Pierre Choderlos de Laclos

Tanghalang Pilipino, the resident theater company of the Cultural Center of the Philippines, finishes its 28th season with a tale of seduction and greed in the form of Pierre Choderlos de Laclos’ controversial classic, Les Liaisons Dangereuses. Adapted for stage by celebrated playwright Elmer Gatchalian, with Tuxqs Rutaquio at the helm, the stage version, now with the title Juego de Peligro, now transforms the French aristocracy to pre-war Intramuros, where, similar to the decadence of the former, the wealthy engages in the game of power play, with seduction and deceit become the tool of the trade; where only the most cunning survive and the innocents, lose along the way. Juego de Peligro opens on Feb. 20 at the CCP Tanghalang Aurelio Tolentino. Succeeding performances will be on Feb. 21-22, 27-28, and March 1 and 6-8 at 3PM and 8PM.

Tanghalang Ateneo, the longest-running theater company of the Loyola Schools of the Ateneo de Manila University, will end its 36th Season: Navigating Identities this February with "GODOT5: Five Ruminations on Samuel Beckett's 'En Attendant Godot'". The production, an exploration of the tragedy of waiting and of hope, will use both the English translation of the play by Nobel Prize Winner for Literature Samuel Beckett and a new Filipino translation by Palanca winner Guelan Varela-Luarca. A brief synopsis: Vladimir and Estragon meet near a tree along a road. They converse, bicker, argue, laugh, and agree on several topics of conversation; all of which are merely distractions to help them wait for the arrival of Godot. While waiting, two other men arrive, Pozzo and Lucky. They join Vladimir and Estragon for a while but eventually leave. Synopsis of Manhid Can we imagine a world without EDSA? MANHID exists in a world without our return to democracy and human rights. The play is about the battles of two groups of super–heroes: the Maragtas headed by tabloid writer Bantugan Buenaventura and the lady activist Lam-ang Panganiban versus the Tulisan ng Bayan headed by General Apolaki Regalado. The Tulisan are employed by Mamalahim-ma a demonic Minister of Humanity who plans on enslaving whole generations of Filipinos with her epidemic of Kamanhiran. The heroes and villains, as children of their native land receive their powers when they were named after the gods and heroes of Philippine myth as a protest for the Masaker ng Taong Bayan. In their battles these opposing teams fight for the future of the Philippines.

On February 2015, “MANHID: The Pinoy Superhero Musical” wraps up Ballet Philippines’ 45th anniversary season. Night at the Museum: Secret of the Tomb | Movie Review

Plot : In 1938, in Egypt a team of archaeologists are digging into a tomb to look for a valuable artifact. A young boy falls through a hole that leads his father and the others to what they came for - the tablet of Ahkmenrah. Several local men see the tablet and say that if the archaeologists remove it, then "the end will come". In the present day in New York City, Larry Daley is overseeing a nighttime event at the Museum of Natural History with Dr. McPhee in attendance. Larry gathers the favorite exhibits, including Theodore Roosevelt, Attila the Hun, Sacagawea, Dexter the Capuchin Monkey, and Rexy the Tyrannosaurus skeleton. Prinsesa A princess whose name is Biiktoria was said to be an ugly girl so the sister of the Queen together with his husband plan to exchange her son as a prince of the kingdom and someday become a king. The princess lives together with the pigs so she thinks that she is also a pig. In the end, Torius proclaimed that the princess' name came from his, therefore she was named Victoria. She was recognized by his father, the king, who was sick and accepted her daughter even if she is ugly.
