ALL I WANT FOR CHRISTMAS IS SHOE

This is a continuation of our previous campaign for kids "Take a Step, Turn a Page" program where we launched a book and shoe drive for the children. Alpha Angelicum Academy and The Learning Tree participated on the said event.

This time we want the children to experience watching a musical play.
Our mission is to give them a chance to watch an educational play that they can use as a tool in achieving their dreams and aspirations.

For every P600.00 (six hundred pesos), a sponsored child from GawadKalinga will get to watch Sandosenang Sapatos “The Musical” on December 15, 2013 3:00 pm at the Cultural Center of the Philippines. Inclusive of food and gifts for Christmas.

We also accept donations/sponsorship of gifts or giveaways for the said event.

P600.00 – name of sponsor/name of organization will be included on a full-page ad allotted for sponsors
Sponsors of in-kind (candies, chocolates, drinks) – name/logo of the company will be included on a full-page ad allotted for sponsors and they can set up booths during the playdate depending on the amount sponsored.

What is Sandosenang Sapatos all about?

Sandosenang Sapatos is a tale of a shoemaker father who once dream t of having a ballerina for a daughter. Unfortunately, this dream is shattered when he finds out that his second daughter, who he envisioned to be the ballerina, is physically disabled and cannot dance. The story unfolds with how he and the rest of his family cope with the difficulties brought about by society’s ostracism and stereotyped image of the disabled. It highlights a father’s devotion to his daughter, and the value of a family’s support to someone who needs it the most.
This innovative musical production will star Jonathan Tadioan as Tatay, May Bayot as Nanay, Trixie Esteban as Susie, the disabled daughter, and with a special participation by TP Board of Trustees member, Ms. Tessa Prieto-Valdez as the Diwata.
