Parokya Ni Edgar’s Bente launching this Nov. 29 at Eastwood

This November 29 at the Eastwood City Central Plaza, Parokya Ni Edgarwill launch their latest release Bente , which celebrates the band’s 20 th anniversary as a group. Bente has two editions – 1 DVD/2 CD and 2 CD. The DVD includes 28 music videos of the band plus two documentaries. The 2 CD has a total of 29 tracks (27 of the band’s biggest hits plus 2 brand new tracks). Bente also includes their newest single AngParokya, which talks about the beginnings of the band. It also features Gloc-9 and Frank Magalona. AngParokya is the second time that Parokya Ni Edgar, Frank and Gloc-9 collaborated in a song. The music video of the song is also included in the DVD.

Wang Chung and Naked Eyes in Back2Back Throwback

Wang Chung and Naked Eyes will be having their first concert in the country entitled Back 2 Back Throwback on December 5, 2013 (Thursday) 7pmat the Grand Ballroom of Solaire Resort and Casino for the benefit of the recent super typhoon victims thru Oplan Damayan Yolanda and for the kids of Gabay sa Landas Foundation. Naked Eyes a British New Wave band that rose to prominence in the early 1980s and originally formed by two friends from Bath, England; Pete Bryne on vocals and Rob Fisher on keyboard. The duo is known largely for its four Top 40 singles. The first, a cover of the Burt Bacharach/Hal David standard  "(There's) Always Something There to Remind Me"(Bacharach himself has cited the cover as a personal favorite). The band had subsequent hits with their own compositions, "Promises, Promises" (the 12” mix of which features vocals from Madonna), "When the Lights Go Out" and "(What) In the Name of Love” and a lot more. Story of the Identical Gay Twins at MMK

The star of 2005’s internationally-acclaimed independent film “Ang Pagdadalaga ni Maximo Oliveros” Nathan Lopez will act opposite his identical twin Gammy in ABS-CBN’s “Maalaala Mo Kaya” this Saturday (November 23). In the episode directed by Nuel Naval, Nathan and Gammy will portray the roles of identical twins Elmer and Eric, who were very close since childhood. However, after the death of their soldier father, Elmer chose to come out as gay—a decision disliked by Eric, who is a ‘closet queen.’ Also part of the fun and heartwarming “MMK” episode are Jackilou Blanco, Nikki Valdez and Ricardo Cepeda. The episode was written by Benson Logronio and Arah Jell Badayos and researched by Akeem del Rosario. “MMK” is led by business unit head Malou Santos, production manager Roda Dela Cerna, and executive producers Cathy San Pablo and Lindsay Dizon. Yapak Mo, Yakap Ko : Concert for a cause

CSR World, a department of Benita and Catalino Yap Foundation (BCYF) launches Yapak Mo Yakap Ko Benefit Concert on November 22, 2013 at 5:30pm until 9:30pm and will be held at the Plaza V of De La Salle- College of St. Benilde featuring Up Dharma Down and other uprising OPM bands such as Clover Street, Dagsin, Pathway and Unica, to help build a library in the slum area, particularly in Smokey Mountain, Tondo Manila. In partnership with Tulay ng Kabataan Foundation and the Student Council of De La Salle- College of St. Benilde, Yapak Mo Yakap Ko Benefit Concert was organized to raised funds from the concert will help the kids in Smokey Mountain value education more and have a free access on education even if they are outside the four corners of the classroom.
