Acclaimed Filipina artist Nicole Laurel Asensio returns to the Philippines after her successful run of shows abroad, diving straight into the heart of her craft with her latest single “LET OUR LOVE,” released under Warner Music Philippines. Reuniting with long-time collaborator and producer Gabe Dandan, the duo once again captures raw emotion through a lush blend of Soul, R&B, and Jazz — a sound reminiscent of 90s sophisti-pop yet distinctly timeless.
Described by Asensio as a “fearless expression of the soul,” Let Our Love began as a creative spark between two artists who trust instinct over convention. “It was the first time I asked Gabe to create something from scratch, no prior ideas or references,” Nicole shared. “When I heard what he made, my heart raced — the creativity was torrential.”
The track features stunning arrangements by Michael Guevarra on horns, Mike Lichtenfeld on keys, Aman Dela Cruz on percussion, and backup vocals from Kevin Yadao and Mel Torre. Recorded at Wildgrass Studio and Kodama Studio, mixed by Gabe Dandan, and mastered at Abbey Road Studios UK by Alex Gordon, the song is both intimate and cinematic — “weaving silk from our fallen tears.”
Beyond its sonic beauty, Let Our Love reflects Asensio’s evolving artistry. “The songs I write now aren’t about trends or vocal showcases,” she says. “I’m enjoying slowing down, creating music that feels timeless — feel-good music that still carries depth.”
This release follows the success of her previous EPs “Changes Over Time” and “Matter Over Mind,” which collectively earned 10 nominations at the 2025 Awit Awards, with 4 entries reaching the finals.
“Love knows no bounds, neither do art and music,” Nicole adds. “We can’t stop it — so we should just let it.”
“LET OUR LOVE” is now streaming on all digital platforms. The single also serves as a teaser for her upcoming EP, slated for release early next year under Warner Music Philippines.
