#TeatroPinas : BACC Performance Art Present' “Breathless”

Slowly but surely, the Philippines is unfolding its take on modern art. Visual art may have been
the most prominent field of arts in the country, yet there are others that should not go unnoticed.
One of those is Performance Art, which is often viewed similar to performing arts. Going through a brief definition between the two, performing arts has always been scripted and meticulously rehearsed, while performance art doesn’t necessarily have to have a script.
The essence of spontaneity is present in this type but even so there is a process involved between the artist and the performance. Although documentation is necessary in preserving the performance, due to its spontaneity, only a significant amount is recorded through technology. Most are imbedded in our minds, and lives on as a memory.

The Performance Art Initiative is a project by the Benilde Arts and Culture Cluster (BACC) of De La Salle - College of Saint Benilde. The platform was established to help fund future performances within the college. Performance art may not ring a loud bell in the Philippines, but participating in this platform helps us to know more about the form and the brilliant, creative minds of Filipino performance artists, who in return introduces us to a wider and newer perspective of the art world.

Having to live in the 21st century, a Facebook page was launched by the production team that provides information about upcoming and current projects with performance artists. The page also provides information about the Spark Up Project, which is a platform where anyone can donate a certain amount that will help fund the Performance Art Initiative for future use.

With this, on July 21, 2018 at 6PM, at the 6th Floor of the De La Salle - College of Saint Benilde’s School of Design and Arts, film veteran, Ronnie Lazaro will partake in a performance entitled “Breathless”. Influenced by this in the early days of his career, performance art opens a curtain on another other side of his artistry.

Visit the Facebook page www.facebook.com/BACCPerformanceArt for more information and
updates on Breathless and the Performance Art Initiative.

Maria Ozawa wants Pinoys in next porn film

MANILA, Philippines - Japanese porn star Maria Ozawa wants Filipinos as her screen (and bed) partners in her next movie. Ozawa said in her Facebook page on Wednesday that an audition will be held for Filipino men in January. "Mabuhay! Philippines!" Ozawa said. "I bought Globe sim!....audition for the bukkake will be in January," she added. She did not say if she is already in Manila but rumors of her visit to the country made rounds on Internet forums and adult blogs just before Christmas. "Hello guys! Who wants bukkake? Audition will be on January 2012," she repeated in her Facebook page, which is linked to her official blog. The post has received more than 10,000 "likes," 535 "shares" and more than 2,400 replies. However, no one has yet to take up her offer as of posting time. Ozawa has made several dozen adult videos and non-porn movies. Her last adult video was released in April 2010. The same year, Ozawa had t

Film Review : Just The 3 Of Us

My notes on Just The 3 Of Us: 1. The movie reminded me so much of this late 90's rom-com with Matthew Perry as a happy-go-lucky bachelor who had a one night stand with a sultry Salma Hayek in Vegas. She ended up pregnant, they got married, and then discovered each other's personalities while fixing family and work issues. It was called Fools Rush In and I would have asked you to rent it in a local Video City, but I think all of their stores closed ages ago. 2. In this version though, the girl CJ (Jennylyn Mercado) would rather stalk the potential father and be the emotional punching bag of Uno (John Lloyd Cruz) who had a bad temper (F-words everywhere!), an a-hole attitude ("So what? Buhay ko 'to. Kahit mag-swimming ako sa alak wala ka pakialam!"), crazy reasoning (he wanted to take care of CJ and the baby, but made her sleep on an uncomfortable sofa bed in the living room with poor ventilation), and a drinking problem that were all supposedly reasonab
