Ampalaya Monologues is now celebrating 1 year of bitterness

Theater in Alternative Platforms : Ampalaya Monologues
There might be another Ampalaya Day in 2016 as Ampalaya Monologues just turned one year old, and they are about to put on a show this October 2016 at PETA Theater in Quezon City.

Expect a night of #hugot as Theater in Alternative Platforms will wage the popular program, created by writer Mark Ghosn, in a night full of bitter stories embodied in various sets of one-person theatrical plays.

Performers during the evening were Rain Gutierrez, Janine Lloce, Dave Ramones, Mariko Urimoto, Berna Manipon, Gracia Paterno, Yves Gutierrez, Yan-yan Gervero, Patty Arro, Elizabeth Concepcion, R'love Rojas,  Ace Alfaro. Hogi Cadlum, Euwie Von Loria.

Also, guest performers include spoke word artists Kookie Tuason, Maimai Cantillano, Zuela Herrera, Brian Vee, Rod Marmol, Mark Dimaisip, Rommel Pamaos and Vim Nadera, and musicians Pauline Lauron, Unwind, Chasing Deadlines and Suicidal Genius, with live art by Art-Cavity Colletives.

Over the course of time, Ghosn's project – comprised of various quotes and advices above love – became one of the phenomenal icon in the emotion/ansgt-driven pop culture, especially with spoken word poetry being part of the “hit.” Together with TAP, Ampalaya Monologues had numerous shows in various venues inside and outside Metro Manila. They even collaborated with another spoken word.

Here are some of the sample of the Ampalaya Monologues.

Maria Ozawa wants Pinoys in next porn film

MANILA, Philippines - Japanese porn star Maria Ozawa wants Filipinos as her screen (and bed) partners in her next movie. Ozawa said in her Facebook page on Wednesday that an audition will be held for Filipino men in January. "Mabuhay! Philippines!" Ozawa said. "I bought Globe sim!....audition for the bukkake will be in January," she added. She did not say if she is already in Manila but rumors of her visit to the country made rounds on Internet forums and adult blogs just before Christmas. "Hello guys! Who wants bukkake? Audition will be on January 2012," she repeated in her Facebook page, which is linked to her official blog. The post has received more than 10,000 "likes," 535 "shares" and more than 2,400 replies. However, no one has yet to take up her offer as of posting time. Ozawa has made several dozen adult videos and non-porn movies. Her last adult video was released in April 2010. The same year, Ozawa had t

Film Review : Just The 3 Of Us

My notes on Just The 3 Of Us: 1. The movie reminded me so much of this late 90's rom-com with Matthew Perry as a happy-go-lucky bachelor who had a one night stand with a sultry Salma Hayek in Vegas. She ended up pregnant, they got married, and then discovered each other's personalities while fixing family and work issues. It was called Fools Rush In and I would have asked you to rent it in a local Video City, but I think all of their stores closed ages ago. 2. In this version though, the girl CJ (Jennylyn Mercado) would rather stalk the potential father and be the emotional punching bag of Uno (John Lloyd Cruz) who had a bad temper (F-words everywhere!), an a-hole attitude ("So what? Buhay ko 'to. Kahit mag-swimming ako sa alak wala ka pakialam!"), crazy reasoning (he wanted to take care of CJ and the baby, but made her sleep on an uncomfortable sofa bed in the living room with poor ventilation), and a drinking problem that were all supposedly reasonab
