Sinag Maynila already has a line-up of films to be premiered this April

Since its successful inauguration last March 2015, the first set of featured films have debuted in various international film festivals. “The exposure of the filmmakers in other countries brings pride and honor to Sinag Maynila and to the Filipino Filmmakers,” says Festival Director Brillante Mendoza. As we welcome the new year, the independent film festival Sinag Maynila already has a line-up of films to be premiered this April.

Conceptualized and helmed by its CEO and Founder Wilson Tieng, together with world-renowned and internationally acclaimed film director Brillante Mendoza, SinagMaynila gives grants to independent filmmakers so they can develop their individual material to a full-length film for public exhibition. For 2016, the festival has been opened to any Filipino independent filmmaker who wish to apply for a film grant.

Five chosen filmmakers closely collaborated with Tieng and Mendoza. This collaboration resulted in stories that reflect the Filipino culturewhile illustrating messages that will resonate globally.

Maria Ozawa wants Pinoys in next porn film

MANILA, Philippines - Japanese porn star Maria Ozawa wants Filipinos as her screen (and bed) partners in her next movie. Ozawa said in her Facebook page on Wednesday that an audition will be held for Filipino men in January. "Mabuhay! Philippines!" Ozawa said. "I bought Globe sim!....audition for the bukkake will be in January," she added. She did not say if she is already in Manila but rumors of her visit to the country made rounds on Internet forums and adult blogs just before Christmas. "Hello guys! Who wants bukkake? Audition will be on January 2012," she repeated in her Facebook page, which is linked to her official blog. The post has received more than 10,000 "likes," 535 "shares" and more than 2,400 replies. However, no one has yet to take up her offer as of posting time. Ozawa has made several dozen adult videos and non-porn movies. Her last adult video was released in April 2010. Film Review : Just The 3 Of Us

My notes on Just The 3 Of Us: 1. The movie reminded me so much of this late 90's rom-com with Matthew Perry as a happy-go-lucky bachelor who had a one night stand with a sultry Salma Hayek in Vegas. She ended up pregnant, they got married, and then discovered each other's personalities while fixing family and work issues. It was called Fools Rush In and I would have asked you to rent it in a local Video City, but I think all of their stores closed ages ago. 2. In this version though, the girl CJ (Jennylyn Mercado) would rather stalk the potential father and be the emotional punching bag of Uno (John Lloyd Cruz) who had a bad temper (F-words everywhere!), an a-hole attitude ("So what? Buhay ko 'to. Kahit mag-swimming ako sa alak wala ka pakialam!"), crazy reasoning (he wanted to take care of CJ and the baby, but made her sleep on an uncomfortable sofa bed in the living room with poor ventilation), and a drinking problem that were all supposedly reasonab
