Ballet Manila enjoins dance enthusiasts all over the country to cheer for their world class performers in "Flight 1" on July 31, and "Flight 2" on August 1 at 8 pm at the Star Theater.

A preview of Ballet Manila's entry to Asian Grand Prix International Ballet Competition (AGP) slated in August at the Y-Theater, Hong Kong, "Flight 1" and "Flight 2" are two different shows featuring the dance company's bestseller pieces by top choreographers Agnes Locsin, Augustus Damian III, Gerardo Francisco, and the late Tony Fabella.  The show also includes classical showstoppers "Don Quixote," "Sleeping Beauty," "Le Corsaire" and the "Black Swan Pas De Deux" from "Swan Lake".

“Two nights, two completely different programs.  The back-to-back concert will showcase the best of Ballet Manila and highlight the skill and artistry of all the dancer-competitors.  Am truly proud of this year’s competitors; keeping my fingers crossed that we do well this year.”, says Lisa Macuja Elizalde, Ballet Manila Artistic Director and CEO.

Established in 2011, the Asian Grand Prix International Ballet Competition (AGP) is an annual competition hosted by Youth Ballet of Asia and operated by Hong Kong Arts Development & Production Company Ltd.

Now on its fifth year the competition aims to recognize the artistic excellence of local and international dancers by allowing participants to demonstrate their talent, explore their potential, and learn from their peers and dance professionals.

Outstanding dancers receive cash awards for career advancement in
professional ballet companies. They can also receive training scholarships in renowned ballet schools.

When Ballet Manila first joined AGP in 2012 the dance company won Finalist certificates and top honors including the Bronze Medal in the Pas de Deux division and the Most Promising Male Danseur award.

In 2013, Ballet Manila won Finalist certificates and the Silver Medal in Junior B division, the Bronze Medal in the Senior division, and the Silver and Bronze Medal in the Pas De Deux division.

This year, 23 dancers from the Ballet Manila Company and School of Ballet Manila will compete in the Junior A, Junior B, Junior C, Pre-Senior, Senior and Pas de Deux, categories.

Join Ballet Manila Artistic Director Lisa Macula-Elizalde at the front seat of The Star Theater, as she sends off her most talented dancers to the international competition.

Maria Ozawa wants Pinoys in next porn film

MANILA, Philippines - Japanese porn star Maria Ozawa wants Filipinos as her screen (and bed) partners in her next movie. Ozawa said in her Facebook page on Wednesday that an audition will be held for Filipino men in January. "Mabuhay! Philippines!" Ozawa said. "I bought Globe sim!....audition for the bukkake will be in January," she added. She did not say if she is already in Manila but rumors of her visit to the country made rounds on Internet forums and adult blogs just before Christmas. "Hello guys! Who wants bukkake? Audition will be on January 2012," she repeated in her Facebook page, which is linked to her official blog. The post has received more than 10,000 "likes," 535 "shares" and more than 2,400 replies. However, no one has yet to take up her offer as of posting time. Ozawa has made several dozen adult videos and non-porn movies. Her last adult video was released in April 2010. The same year, Ozawa had t

Film Review : Just The 3 Of Us

My notes on Just The 3 Of Us: 1. The movie reminded me so much of this late 90's rom-com with Matthew Perry as a happy-go-lucky bachelor who had a one night stand with a sultry Salma Hayek in Vegas. She ended up pregnant, they got married, and then discovered each other's personalities while fixing family and work issues. It was called Fools Rush In and I would have asked you to rent it in a local Video City, but I think all of their stores closed ages ago. 2. In this version though, the girl CJ (Jennylyn Mercado) would rather stalk the potential father and be the emotional punching bag of Uno (John Lloyd Cruz) who had a bad temper (F-words everywhere!), an a-hole attitude ("So what? Buhay ko 'to. Kahit mag-swimming ako sa alak wala ka pakialam!"), crazy reasoning (he wanted to take care of CJ and the baby, but made her sleep on an uncomfortable sofa bed in the living room with poor ventilation), and a drinking problem that were all supposedly reasonab
